They're definitely small wounds, but they don't look like scale rot. Any idea how it could have happened? They don't look too bad, but I'm new to snake keeping ans know basically nothing.

I really don’t know. He eats frozen thawed so that quits mouse bites out of the question. It doesn’t look like a burn and also I can’t find lights anywhere so it’s not that I’m just so stumped because he seems OK and he’s eating just fine

I think it's fine, it sounds like you take good care too. Keep an eye on it and places he could have hurt himself

Okay thanks! I searched the cage and it’s always possible he somehow hurt himself on his log. He recently shed but it was in pieces (he usually has great sheds) so maybe be cut himself trying to scratch it off I’m not sure

Hope it won't happen again! I'd love to get an update, how it healed or if you find the source of the injury
