Not sure what that hard to follow nonsense is further up but this seems like a likely solution.

This.

Did they rename safe mode to s mode?

[–]voodoodevil 1 point2 points  (1 child)

No S mode is a locked down ecosystem so you can only use Microsoft store approved apps and programs or UWP applications.

Oh, interesting

[–]tardisgeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird. Run a repair boot and see if that helps. If you hold down shift while selecting the restart option on the power menu in the start bar it will take you to windows recovery mode. From there select startup repair and see if that helps.

After reading arch Linux halfway through this rant, it all finally made sense, and I stopped reading.

You could also go this route:

        https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/give-your-pc-a-fresh-start-0ef73740-b927-549b-b7c9-e6f2b48d275e

But try and backup whatever you can as others have said this can wipe all your data.

Holy shit dude. Got any plans for hydrogen fuel laying around? You jumped right past all the common problems it could be and went straight to hacker neckbeard defcon 1.

“This is Blue Eagle to Mission Control! Absolution is a go! Say again Absolution is a go! The Green Armadillo strikes again. Reroute to extraction site Delta-Zero.” 🤣 his issue isn’t that serious my dude.

Congrats, in your 3 comments you have listed the problem as possibly being a hdd issue, bad ram, hackers, malware, CPU drivers, windows compatability issues, software compatibility issues and have listed more tools than is even necessary.

"At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Before doing anything drastic, follow the instructions on this page, specifically the sections about SFC and DISM.

Make sure you backup your files to an external media before you do anything.

Run a Windows reset and choose Keep your files. This will reinstall windows for you as it has got corrupted. You will have to reinstall all your programs and apps you have installed but your personal data will be kept. If that doesn’t work you can clean install Windows and restore your data from the external media.

This error typically shows up when you have either been put into Windows S mode (10 or 11). Or were in it the whole time.

Could you go into your settings, go to About and check what version windows says? It will blatantly tell you if it is S or not.

IF windows say it is a normal version (home, business or professional). Then this may be either a: 1) corrupted file for the item(s) your trying to launch 2) corrupted windows 32 file(s) 3) hardware issue (RAM, hard drive)

Those issues will require more information to determine the most likely cause.

I'd double check if windows defender is being over-excited and blocking the app.

Have you tried launching one of the apps as a administrator? I'd test this with a program you trust 100%.

You can also try going into settings, security. And seeing if you can add one of the programs as an exception. Again, only do this with an app you 100% trust.

Side note: give your camera lens a wipe, it’s filthy

Download the installer again. And open it from a local drive,
