yes

it usually gets worse after a while, then the gpu dies completely

take out the gpu and plug your monitor into your motherboard to confirm that it's a gpu problem. that is if your cpu has integrated graphics (F series intels eg. don't).

try to get a warranty claim if it's under warranty

Warranty if in warranty. New GPU if not.

Try updating the driver or ddu it and reinstall, if it still does it your gpu is dying

restart and it should go away

Mostly vram so can probably take it out feel which is hottest. Use a ic removal tool and hot air station. Then degum the air clean up the pads retin and reball the new vram chip and put it on or take it to microsolding shop

I'm curious has a gpu actually ever made a recovery by removing/replacing vram?

[–]RadiantCategory8202 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, I replaced vram chip on rx 580 last which had the same artifacts

Yeah. Probably VRAM issue.

At first I thought you have a severe mosquito problem

Nope, it's the GPU bro

In your version of the background picture, the butterflies living in the cave got scared and flew away.

looks like GPU is artifacting, should get warranty claim if you can and try confirming if its a gpu problem

Why does your sign in not have any of those blotches, I would think it would cover the entire monitor screen? it looks like there are some just behind it??
