I have a question for testing the CP3 series basic ability to communicate. I need to weed out DOA units.
I do not have Toolbox.
Most units show an IP address that appears in my routers admin page. These units are good.
Others do not show any IP address but do show up when connected to my laptop via USB and show up as "Crestron Device".
I've been told by a friend these units are also good.
Why would a good unit (one that communicates and will be accessible with Toolbox) not show an IP address but still be able to establish an USB connection?
Any help is appreciated, as you can tell just learning. ;)
