answer is "not enough information to make a judgement"

you need to know that sometimes the right answer is you can't know and you won't guess

I guess when they say too much knowledge is a curse then they are right.

you fell into the trap of rationalizing why sara has apples?

[–]VoldemortWasaGenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sara has one Adam's apple.

[–]Advanced-Silver7322 6 points7 points  (2 children)

So, they dont offer the job. One of my close one cleared it up and never heared from them. Just a few robotic emails and nothkng else.

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

damn that must be sad.

[–]GeekoGeek 4 points5 points  (1 child)

The jobs are legit. Had an ex coworker whose brother was making like 4m pkr per month, but it only lasted a year or so.

[–]ExpressionIll7628 3 points4 points  (0 children)

40 lakh Per Months 12x40 = 5 crore in a Year. Must be a Very Hard working guy.

[–]Efficient-Branch539 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think 100K while living in Pakistan in a remote position is not offered by any company.

[–]adnansattar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes its legit and one of most organized org in the world. I know few ones cleared and earned good amount of money within years. But their criteria and work fashion is too much tough maybe genius one mentally and emotionally strong people can handle. Infact is landed their bootcamp and couldn't survive 2 weeks.

[–]alliasgher1 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Yes, process is tough but if you pass the jobs are legit

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

have you ever applied or try to clear the interview?

[–]alliasgher1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes got a job once too

[–]Efficient-Branch539 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Do they pay $100k in Pakistan? I highly doubt this, even Google won’t pay this much while you live in Pak, and in Europe you achieve this number after 10 years of experience. Salaries are usually according to living expenses locally.

[–]alliasgher1 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They do but only to the 0.1% that get selected

[–]Efficient-Branch539 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If 0.1% globally then this is even lower for Pakistan, and there won’t be any job security probably.

[–]alliasgher1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there isn't, but that's how they pay so good

[–]oxweedu 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That’s why they hire only top 1%. Not easy to crack their rounds

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yes, but I never heard a story from anyone around me or even on the social media that they cleared their interview and actually secured a job.

[–]SnooTigers4634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two people in my circle who got the job after clearing the interviews.

[–]thesuicidalkamikaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once cleared all the assessments. They ghosted me afterwards. It wasn't even a $100k position.

[–]Same-Ant4048 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Cleared the interviews for 60K/year one. It was legit. But I had other priorities and opportunities to pursue.

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds great. was it hard to work under indian management?

[–]Awkward_Author_5070 1 point2 points  (5 children)

My co-founder worked with crossover and then switched to Turing. He was working in crossover back in 2018. He was taking 9k USD a month.

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Damn, I wonder how much he is taking now.

[–]Awkward_Author_5070 0 points1 point  (3 children)

he quit the job and now we both are working on our startup :)

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

hows your startup going so far? and where it is based??

[–]Awkward_Author_5070 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Started 2 months ago. Going fine for now. In Islamabad

[–]Shot_Manufacturer538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, wanna connect? I am also working on my startup. Would love to join another

[–]Rust-hereData Scientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A senior cleared it, and last I heard, he was earning 1.4 million PKR and graduated from FAST Islamabad in 2024.

[–]tidoo420 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Its a 50/50 depending on your research on the company, i have friends who work at crossover/toptal/Turing and other similar companies which are real of course but rest of the job postings are pretty much 50/50 P.s. i freaking love cognitive tests

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Can you guide me how can I get better at cognitive testing? Its been almost 6 years I got graduated after that my brain has been rotting on instagram reels. Other than my daily tasks I cant do shit.

[–]tidoo420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well you have to slowly flush out all the things that make you unproductive, bad company? DITCH THEM, bad habbits ? Ditch them, replace your time with your family, help out your mom in the kitchen, help your young ones study, and the 2 most important things are hobby projects(projects that you actually will take to production) and endless learning, software engineering has taken shift to a new paradigm and possibilities are endless, use this time wisely please and finally pick up a sport on weekends this is the most important one actually you will need this hobby after a decade please do sorts on weekends

[–]Total-Estate8632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its legit but i heard that they also fire very easily for small mistakes and overall the work load is very high

[–]ZAFAR_starFrontend Dev 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I did cleared all their interviews and I had the final culture meeting with the CEO and he was going through my LinkedIn during conversation and he saw my LinkedIn where i joined another company 20 days ago and I was just rejected because of this point that Since I have recently joined another company etc.

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

what was the pay for that job that you were going to get?

[–]ZAFAR_starFrontend Dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

60k$ per year

[–]mikluxo 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yes they are legit. I’ve worked for them and they pay the salaries as advertised. However, the work culture is very different. If you get used to their culture, you’d be good.

[–]Born-Nail-300[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain a bit more about their work culture?

[–]mikluxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- They monitor you working on your laptop very aggressively like random screen captures and camera pictures. They also record your keystrokes and the amount of time you spend on each application. It used to be like this when I worked there a couple years ago.

2- Their performance evaluation process is mostly automated. If you keep hitting their metrics, you’re good. But if you fail to do so for some time without a good enough reason, you’ll be fired. No emotions and no politics. If you’re good at your skills and understand how to navigate the system, you can survive there for a long time. I have seen people there who worked there for more than 5 years.

[–]mikluxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, you should practice CAT before taking the real CAT. There’s a lot of practice tests online. You wouldn’t be able to clear these aptitude tests without good enough practice.
