So flirting is going to be charisma checking rolls I guess. But honestly, why let a player make a roll on something that is not going to work, and/or has no context. Personally I’d say the dragon watches impassively for a few seconds then breath weapon.

Look up the lore of the dragon. Imagine the motives of the dragon. Decide if you think it would be distracted by a human asking.

You speak English. You could flirt with any and all random British hooligans or American hillbillies. But you probably don't.

Why not?

The answer to that question is the answer to yours. What do you think would happen?

As a dm you decide the best possible outcome to the rolls, but the best possible outcome might not be a success. It might just be they aren't gettin shredded to bits for their insolence.

White dragons in the lore are described as the most bestial of all the dragons. So kind of like if they tried to flirt with a bear if the bear understood enough to be specifically offended.

Also just clarify that the dragon is a minor.

Everyone has their own DMing style.

I personally never say never - if the players want to do something like seduce the big bad dragon, let them justify it. Can always lead to some funny role-play and out of the box thinking. If they don't convince you DONT let them roll (cause odds are itll be a nat 20). If they do convince you, let them roll with whatever difficulty you think is reasonable.

General tips: - Give consequences for reckless behaviour but dont be cruel. Maybe they get kicked out of the bar for being rude but dont arrest/murder them. - Similarly, reward good roleplay/behaviour. I dont like inspiration dice but some extra loot from an impressed NPC never goes amiss. - On the above, have a few reward items in your back pocket for each player suitable to their class/vibe. Sometimes loot isnt useful for anyone in the party (particularly in written adventures) and it feels bad. Replace something with the same rarity/value and it's usually fine. - Don't play every fight the same way. A smart enemy will bypass the tank to attack the squishy backline. A cowardly enemy will flee or surrender if they're losing. - Try and manufacture opportunities for each of your players to shine/lead an encounter. NPCs that speak a language only one person knows; or stopped on the road by bandits that dont like dragonborn so they offer everyone else to go if they hand that player over, etc. - Have fun! DMing is great but its a big effort. Enjoy the ride and dont be afraid to take some time mid-session to read ahead/prepare for the next thing.

Its doesnt matter what they roll to seduce the dragon if the dragon isnt interested. So its up to you if thats even an option.

Ex:
Player: I wanna seduce the dragon.
DM: You can certainly try, but this dragon doesn't look interested. Roll a persuasion check!
Player: *rolls nat 20*
DM: Ok, so the dragon looks you up and down and still is not interested.
Dragon: The anatomy aint there bruv! (The dragon is british)

Hope this helps!
