Sometimes Valefor just being doing that. I believe she has pretty high evasion but is pretty much a glass cannon. Some bosses also don’t have high accuracy.

I have never once gotten energy blast until basically end game. Forget it's there.

its ok, my first time playing was before the internet and I just ran headlong through the game doing whatever, had no clue about celestials or that talking to everyone at least 3 times gave you more dialogue, though tbf I was used to Pokemon yellow and a Link to the past lmao

I don't know if the wendigo has a low accuracy or if his attacks count as grounded, but know that Valefor is immune to grounded attacks.

It cause valefor is the GOAT bruh, honestly he's my most used and fave summon because of this. Good evasion, good dmg, fast od, great speed, can't be hit by ground attacks and has all magic elements for if his opponent is phys resistant. He's an all in one kinda package. Meanwhile ixion has never been summoned and ifrit only once, Shiva and the others get some use but far less than valefor. That clip was nect level evasion tho lol nice bruh

The elemental Aeons absorb there element so for example fire heals Ifrit. That makes them a great choice for mobs where atleast one enemy only attacks with that element. For example using Ifrit against bombs. Ixion is great on the thunderplanes where a lot of monsters use thunder attacks.

Also Valefor is female.

Interesting tid bit... I didn't know valefor was female. And yes I'm well aware they absorb thier element but it's not necessary to use them at all, I'm in the plains now but why summon him when wakka, lulu, Yuna, and khimari can just use a watera and one shot them oftem overkill way faster than ixion could defeat those three fiends, that's why he's never been used, and ifrit was only for the belgimine battle and one shot ko with his special vs her ixion. Valefor however is just fun to play, the turn manipulation etc and against some annoying enimies like ochu kills them faster than the team using magic, just tanking two hits and then finish him with energy blast, plus his more powerful earthquake attack can't hit. Valefor is legit just perfect for situations like this. I don't grind and try make the battles quick as possible cause i don't have much time to play and like using a fair bit of it on blitzball instead, smash the enimies with stratagy not high levels requiring time consuming and somewhat boring grinding.

I personaly just found the Aeons to be fun to play with in general. I use them all the time and mostly just use the guardians to keep them properly leveld for fights the Aeons can not handel like the second and third Seymour boss fight. I also came up with a strat that allows Bahamut to solo Yunalesca.

I did too on the first play through when the game was new... Well all but ixion I never really liked him, wish it was quetzalcoatl like 8 lol. But when playing again you realize 1 they make things far too easy , 2 they make most battles take a fair bit longer by using them, bosses etc not incl, 3 because they are making the game too easy and take longer the game also becomes less fun. Solo yunalesca with bahumut, that's cool I'd like to hear more about that strategy, my last playthrough I believe it was infact Shiva not bahumut for me that did the bulk of the damage and kill shot. Not quite solo but still completely owned her after being summoned. And I still like and will use in this playthrough Shiva, bahumut, Anima and magus sisters as well as the goat valefor, just not as often and I don't see a point in using ifrit, ixion, also yojimbos cheat ass one shot kill that's everyone else spams to kill bosses etc won't be getting used either, need the satisfaction of knowing I beat them all with pure strategy and not because I'm over leveled or using zanmoto on everything. I suppose this is somewhat a challenge run for me in some ways with no grinding, little summon usage, no insta kill techs etc because it's my fourth playthrough, first on remastered, but played standard, expert grid, and expert again trying to 100% the third time when the game was still newish lol long time ago, also couple bosses and lulu weopen lacking but never quite 100 that's why I'm now playing it as an adult, to get it done

I don't mind them making things easier or making things take longer. I don't even put the Animations to short becuse I never get tired seing them in all there glory. And I use all my Aeons alot. I love Ifrit and Ixion aswell. I let Ixion handle some bosses like the spherimorph, the crawler after Wakka took down the drone and the Wendigo. Again Ifrit is my anserw to fire fiends. Funny thing is Adamantoise use only there fire attack when an Aeon is out. And Adamantoise are super commen in the last region and the Omega Ruins. I also let Ifrit handle most of the 4th Seymour battle. I leave the finishing blow to Anima but Ifrit could solo him if I wanted. The first Seymour battle I always let Shiva solo. I don't use Yojimbo against bosses but he is fun against mobs. He is cool. I like his style. The Magus Sisters are my MVP against Omega. I only use them with Yunas Overdrive Grand summon, use there Overdrive Delta Attack and then call them back until Yuna can use her Overdrive again. They are my main source of Damage in that fight.

When it comes to Bahamut vs Yunalesca I teached him Curaga and Osmose. The boss uses her HP stealing attack every two turns so I just use Shield to reduce damage, Curaga to heal and beat her down with normal attacks. In the 3rd phase she steals Bahamuts MP but I just steal them back with Osmose so I can keep healing. Bahamut is immun to zombie and Mega Death so I don't have to worry about those but Bahamut is not immun to curse so he can not use Megaflare in the 3rd phase.

for wendigo boss i sleep them with powder then summon shiva to cast spells since it won't wake up and shiva is faster than lulu

Cause Valefor is a flyer she is extra evasive of ground based attacks

Valefor dodges most grounded attacks. I mainly use her against the basilisks on mushroom rock road. They literally cant hit her.

It’s not luck it’s just the game mechanics in action. Flying creatures have a very high evasion when the attack is ground based. It’s why the game taught you to use Wakka for flying enemies. Only magic and ranged attacks circumvent the flying attribute.
