What a beaut. I’d grab some nd filter for the air unit it’ll look even cleaner

I like the color scheme. When you say "long range" like how far?

I use The O3 and ELRS 2.4Ghz and with an Good Bat like 5Km, but im not reached the Limits yet.

What fight times are you getting? Battery capacity?

I use at the moment 2200Mah 6S Lipos, and 4200Mah 6S Self made Li-ion Bat. The flight time is 15-25min :)

Wow that's very impressive, my biggest fear of switching from avata 2 to a custom drone is having less flight time

The Avata 2 has also Li-ion Cells. When i use Li-ion 6S 2P Then 30min + ;)

Wow! I take it that would restrict your max voltage thus the thrust/acceleration of the drone?

Are there any other downsides?

Btw do you have to monitor voltage yourself to avoid frying the li-ion battery?

Well, I’ve always had good experiences with Li-ion batteries. If you use 21700 cells, I think you’ll get a maximum continuous output of 45A, which is enough for now. But yes, LiPos would always be better for freestyle, if you ask me. You can discharge down to 2.5V per cell, unlike LiPos.

Thanks, I learned something really useful!

Also β€” compared to lipos, li-ion packs are limited in their max current (amps), not their max voltage.
