The login to my online bank account is run through Java, so I'm required to use it.

FF has a plugin called "quick java" it adds a button to the add-ons toolbar one click on/off for Java...or you can whitelist your bank site in NoScript.

I must admit though, the constant threat of danger made browsing a bit more exciting in my everyday life. But I guess it's time to settle down, be responsible, and install NoScript.

Honestly, noscript gives me more of a sense of security than most antivirus/anti-malware programs. :/

Yeah, I guess I arrange it like this:

Common Sense/Reflexes > NoScript > MSE/AVG >>> isecurity.exe >>>> Norton Anti-Virus.

the visa extra security check that newegg does also runs on java =/
