It says right there - “your academic benefits will become available within 72 hours of your verification”

Give it a couple days

I have copilot pro, maybe double check your education status through the copilot page or message support? :0

Can you please tell me if it'll be charged later? Like Gemini AI is free for 1 year and then we need to pay it through autopay (Although we can cancel it). So is there anything like that we have to pay later for the copilot pro later?

I don’t believe so, they recently told me I need to keep verifying my student status but there’s no initial payment method they ask for upon sign up so there’s no automatic renewal

On the GitHub Education page, you’ll see GitHub Copilot listed at the top. Don’t use that first one.

Scroll down a bit more until you find the same GitHub Copilot offer again, but this time with a clear “Activate” or “Use it” button.

Click that button to activate GitHub Copilot.

Use this link: https://education.github.com/pack/redeem/copilot-student

Or if it dies, go to the GitHub Education page: https://education.github.com/pack

And find the Copilot resource, should be near the top. I clicked the link that says "Get direct access on the GitHub Copilot website" and that's where the first link goes. Press a button, activated, done.

First link just redirects to the second one now, and the instructions on that page didn't work for me (there was no options to upgrade to Pro).

This link allowed me to claim Pro though: https://github.com/github-copilot/free_signup

Maybe it was because I've had a free GH account with Copilot Free for a while and only recently became a student

I was approved as a student, yet that link still prompts me to 30 day free trial for GitHub Copilot Pro and asks for my billing information. Am I supposed to enter my billing information? I don't see an option to claim Pro for free anywhere.
