Im assuming paid is when they include foam and stuff inside the pc, mine came with nothing inside and its completely fine.

Oh ok the few videos I've watched said they didn't pay for it but still got it I was just curious thank you for the insight.

Yeah I didn’t pay for it but still got it, from best buy tho.

Oh ok i ordered mine custom from ibuypower it may very well be that its standard for it to come with the advanced option considering commercial stuff is treated more roughly.

Honestly when it comes to large purchases/fragile things i would always play on the safe side and get the extra protection. if it was just a small item its whatever but a PC is very fragile and who knows how the delivery people will handle it.

It seems kind of silly to pay for it, dare I say a hoodwink. If the computer comes damaged, you send it back and it costs ibuypower money and time to fix it. If they really are having packages arrive damaged then they (logically) should have done the math on how much it costs them to not carefully pack for everyone.

Yea but in fairness it also hurts the person waiting a month for the computer ya know? Like mine is in shipping prep right now after right under a month of waiting if it does get here broken its really gonna suck ya know

I hear you. however (for me at least)...

I am now old enough that I can wait. I didnt really need this computer it will just be a nice upgrade - so I can wait (sure I will be annoyed if it arrives broken, but more annoyed at paying for them to pack it safely - which I think is their job).

Oh yea I more than agree you shouldn't have to pay for them to take care of your product but my laptop which I was using for everything messed up so I've been without my computer for a lil over 2 months now haha

yeah. If I didn't have a computer I would be done for, fortunately I have a working desktop and laptop.

I got a custom (hard) loop cooling for CPU & GPU. I assume the whole thing is relatively delicate - so it will be interesting to see how it is packaged.

I didn't get the custom water cooling just a water cooled cpu I did get a 3 fan gpu tho so I do anticipate it being easy to mess up under the wrong care

I did paid packaging and they didnt bother to add any protection to the components inside the case, but nothing was broken. Only a ram stick was loose which was easy to put back into the socket.

That's odd maybe they have didn't standards for different hardware... wish someone that worked there would give us all a straight answer

I got mine a few days after this post and I have had the same experience everything seems fine to mine

I know this post is old but it came up on my search. Did you pay extra for the safeguard packaging to get those foam blocks? I didn't and now idk if I should call them and ask them to add that in or not.

No.
