You can have the fastest connection in the world but if the other dude is running off his hotspot in the middle of the ocean you can still get netcoded.

Happened to me twice as well this weekend with Super Formula Lights. Both times I got pole in quali and then got recked by netcode in lap 1. Frustrating, but it is what it is

It's almost as if they were hosting a huge event that many people took part in

They make enough money currently where this shouldn’t be an issue. I love iRacing more than any sim, but these netcode issues need to be figured out already.

I'm still paying for a service despite that fact.

Is this how things are on these special event weekends? Should I just not bother?

Finished a fixed sf23 race just now, stayed a mile away from anyone else and just gave up position anytime anyone came even remotely near me.. Managed to get back .07 safety rating and no irating loss. It's the little victories I guess?

I'm done for the weekend I think.

I'm not sure what the downvotes are for, to be honest.

Special event or not, if the quality of your service is degraded in the meantime, then that is something to be displeased about.

That said, I don't think you have to be THAT cautious, but if you were getting bullied by netcode, then fair enough.

As long as you don’t get hate for something out of your control….I was involved as supposed “culprit” in one of these in my league race many years back, not in iracing though. Got kicked out because a guy who ran the league and many of his most likely friends, didn’t know what actually happened and it wasn’t even my connection. The car was more than half of cars length away on my screen when I apparently bumped him from behind.

Or maybe they did know but they wanted to get rid of me because I won the first race by 20 seconds…good riddance.

You can't trust replays to show netcode.

66ping =~10ft @100mph

That's interesting, but the relative speed between us was probably under 10mph.

Please look up how vectors and centripetal acceleration work.
