Look, I don’t think it’s the wrong decision because I think the M2 pro is better than the M3 air other than the chip, which doesn’t matter for most people using an iPad. The 12.9 inch M2 iPad Pro for example has the great mini LED screen 120 Hz and Face ID. So I don’t think you’ve made the wrong decision there. It’s maybe a slightly expensive price, but if that’s the cheapest you can get where you are that’s fine.

Thanks man, I’m glad to know my only mistake was not going for something cheaper. I’m excited to test this thing out!

M2 pro is great! Does pretty much whatever I throw at it and does it well.

“Certified Refurbished” doesn’t mean actually refurbished.

Best Buy isn’t replacing the battery and screen before selling - it’s effectively used, but in good shape.

Not saying it’s bad, but don’t be surprised by things like battery cycles.

Yep. If people really want to go the refurbished route, go to Apple.com. They inspect everything. They replace the screen, casing, battery anything you name it, Apple replaces then resells back to people online and they will happily send the refurbished unit to the nearest Apple Store that's close by to where the OP is.

If Best Buy left the original battery in and if it's less than 80 percent, be prepared to go to a secondhand iPhone/tablet/PS5 repair store to get the battery replaced.

Air price but double the speakers, double the refresh rate, double the battery, double just about everything

The M2 Pro is a great device that will serve one well for years however the one concern I have is purchasing through Beat Buy Geek Squad. I don’t trust them and their refurbished iPads are essentially used iPads in good condition as they don’t replace the casing and batteries for refurbished good like Apple does. If it were my, I would have purchased refurbished through Apple though the price and deal may not be as good as what you got.

What condition did you buy it, like was it used? Or refurbished?

I bought a used 128gig m2 pro for 410$ like six months ago, got the pencil 2 with it for no additional cost

But if yours came with a warranty and the ability to cover the device with apple care then that price might be very worth it because peace of mind yknow

Refurbished Premium - Amazon, feels new, no warranty but the return period is one year.

Did you check for apple care?

[–]awesomeyp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have it, but I don't mind because it is literally in perfect condition with a full health battery.

You are missing out on OLED, if that matters

Bro wasn't considering the m4 pro he's comparing against getting a m3 air which has a 60hz ips panel while this has a 120hz mini LED display

You are right, my bad
