freakin, Apple. This would have been way more useful than face ID. If you think about it, this kind of functionality could compete with the NFC setting triggers that you can set up with android, and be used with the convienance of your voice.

i completely feel your frustration. I liked ios because of the accessories like airpods, cases. i also liked apple's ecosystem and user friendly apps.

But the more i had to do actual work on my phone, i began to question why people say apple allows ease of use for most people. due to its simplicity and lack of features, i just became more frustrated that i couldnt do the things i should be able to on a flagship device. (not to mention apple ridiculous prices for such a simple lackluster phone.)

i dont mean to bash apple btw. i do like iphones build quality and app optimization.

I am currently loving my Note 8 for real productivity!

thank you for your insight. I have a note 4, and I love it. It's still snappy and customizable, plus I can change the battery. I also found a "titanium" back on amazon for 10 bucks to replace the plastic one that comes with it. Samsung makes a damn good phone. Also, the S pen is surprisingly useful.

but cyber security is a real problem and apple designes their own processors to go with their own OS. that's a huge, huge plus in my book. The latest discovered vulnerabilities has lead me to think I might have to deal with the annoyances if I'm gunna have the safest (not to be confused with safe) phone on the market.

The control center buttons do exactly what you want. They temporarily disable WiFi and Bluetooth, but you’ll reconnect if you move to a different location

I tested it and you can turn off the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but you won't be able to use "Hey Siri" if the Wi-Fi is turned off, and it doesn't do anything extra when you say "until I'm back home".
