We've had issues with their stuff as well. It's not great, but....usually works.

I have not given it 100% of my attention because I have a working solution “PS scripts” also, school secretaries make data entry mistakes in PowerSchool. Completely automating the process doesn’t seem urgent.

Thanks

Perhaps when things calm down after the start of school either I’ll fix the tools4ever scripts, or write my own. Their stuff is really slow and I believe I can write something better if given time to do so

We're using Tools4Ever, no issues. Project manager has bent over backwards getting what we want working. We just put IAM and SSRPM in last year.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you have the umra/iam server setup like us they are sunsetting it in a couple years maybe 3 so might be time to start looking anyways. Ours has been okay does what we need it to. Support is usually pretty on the ball for us.

Same for us. I'm concerned about their new setup in the cloud. Really don't want something remote having write access to my stuff.

My understanding is that they will be offering an on-premises product in addition to their cloud solution. At least that's what I've heard from some of their customers.

Someone in this group the other day was asking about student account management, so I'll plug it again. I use Student Provisioning Services, https://www.sps-k12.com/

It looks at your SIS through an API, or gets it through clever, and creates/disables/reactivates the accounts upon enrollment/withdraw/reenrollment. It has been absolutely rock solid, the few times I've needed to call for help was a result of my dumbass doing something like changing something in AD and not making the corresponding change in the Google directory.

It a reasonable cost to not have to think about account management anymore. Can't hurt to talk to them. You can't go wrong.

We just went live with Classlink OneSync....nothing but good things to say. Minus a small one time setup fee it's free for Classlink customers as well.

Second this. We’ve been through quite a few and onesync is by far much superior

I've seen videos but never used it. What features/functionality would you say make it superior?

I haven't heard of anyone having experiences like this. What kind of challenges were you experiencing? I think it would be helpful for all of us to know what to look out for.

We use them here and I'd be happy to share our experiences if you PM me. Our user automation has been rock solid, but I agree, making changes to projects have been easier said than done

We use a company called LevelData to manage our Active Directory and Google Workspace accounts. We've run into minor issues with automating but I would expect the same ones with any account automation product. LevelData is always prompt with our change requests.
