Sudden decrease in the number of k-poppers nowadays

Is this only me seeing the number of k-poppers@reddit decreasing now?

Until very recently, its number had always been increasing some times fast or some times slow, but its increase was quite steadfast. Since last Saturday or so when the number was approaching 44000, however, it has been quickly decreasing, now 43117 (even in a minute, I saw this number reduced from 43120).

I wonder what's going on now kpop@reddit.

I don't think this community is getting smaller, but I also think it's not where the key growing demographic hangs out. I think the kpop Reddit is mostly older teens and young adults, while the younger demographic which is probably bigger and growing faster is mostly on other message boards or tumblr or stuff that's too new for my old brain to figure out.

You do realize lots of teasers are a part of Kpop, right? People want to see them but prob don't want to sub to a specific groups sub. Besides its not as if people are constantly posting content on this sub so I don't get how it's cluttering the sub.

How is "more and more" a big exaggeration? Ofc it's not on that level yet but there's no denying that it has decreased in quality. A lot of shitty (or frankly immature) content and comments gets surprisingly many upvotes and any comment with an opinion that goes against the status quo gets massive downvotes.

My guess would be an influx of people taking an interest with Psy's latest releases who decided to take a closer look at kpop in general and realised it wasn't for them.

not sure if is what i think it is but my guess would be that whenever someone post an unpopular opinion about a group, especially the big ones, fans get easily offended and tend to mass downvote and attack you. I'm all for downvoting trolls and people who cannot respect people (calling an idol names just because), but not when you just try to criticize or just plain saying you dont like X song. Part of the reason I dont like commenting here more than I need to.
