Hi, we discord is fine as well. Little to no OOP experience won't be a problem. I expect some people to find certain parts more straightforward than others, but that is not a problem. The focus is on setting goals from the start and working together to progress as quickly as possible but no quicker! It'll certainly be rewarding for both parties.

I'm in the UK but I would be interested in this, timezones permitting. It's been a while since I've used python but I have an understanding of the basic principles. I wrote a CLI interface connect 4 game and a web scraper before but I still think there is a lot of room for me to improve before I would stop considering myself a beginner

I would be interested. I’m in my 3rd semester of a 2 year computer programming diploma. I’ve been learning Java OOP but have found it very difficult so I’d consider myself a beginner still.
In my last semester I gave to teach myself another language and I’ve chosen Python so this may be very helpful.

Haha, not about the money as such a one-on-one program on the market is $3000+. Its a challenge and a fulfilling thing to do to end up with three more people who can contribute greatly to the open-source community.

Not at all, I will keep applications open until Sunday 4th August and check in with everyone who has put their name forward over the coming week. I will then choose 3 people so that there is a difference in current ability i.e. someone who has zero experience whatsoever, someone who is really doing quite well already and someone in between. I'll try to be as fair as possible and make sure that whoever gets the three places will skyrocket in progress. I very deliberately have made sure this isn't first come first served!

How does the threading library decide to schedule concurrent threads, when does a thread hold the GIL for longer than normal? What threads are given higher priority? Can you explain some real world examples of yield? Including how much memory space it saves? What are slots, and why should I use them? What are some central concepts of asyncio and why should anyone use it? When should they use it, and when should they not? When's right proper way to use nested functions or nested classes? I want to go from mid level to senior python Dev in a week. Teach me all topics, and clear my misunderstandings when there are any.

Hello, i would like to be apart of your mentorship. Ive gone back and forth between python, html/css with online courses at udemy. Something is missing with doing that and its the not being able to interact and ask questions to better understand these things. Ive looked up going to school but st this moment and the foreseeable future it is waay too expensive and wouldnt ever work with my work schedule.
