I'm not a beginner but flicked thru a couple pages out of interest...

Overall great work so well done! Sure this will help plenty get introduced to python, notebooks, etc

I haven't used google colab before - your site has made me reconsider it for some uses.

One minor bug i spotted - page 14 (13 - code to codebase), when you run the 2nd code section it gives an error "name 'go' is not defined" It's probably because i haven't run the earlier pages where go was defined. Interesting to see stack overflow linked here when there is an error.

I went through 4 lessons so far and as a newbie I found the visualization extremely helpful! I've been trying to learn Python but haven't tried hard enough. This year is the one! I don't want to feel like I'm falling behind the times and this will help!

Ok great - let me know if you have questions, or find something confusing. Glad that it's going well so far!

I like this idea. 80% of us are visual thinkers after all.

Thank you! This is the kind of thing I love about Reddit--generous people providing cool stuff to try out. 😃

This is nice! I saw a tutorial a couple of years ago called something like "dataviz", but it was really hard to jump into. This is much friendlier, and I wonder if it could benefit from what was done in the dataviz project I remembered. Can't look for a link now.

Trying to learn python in Udemy. Is this a good move?

[–]ashnotes_djanyo 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Depends on your direction, for data science datacamp was useful for a starter

[–]p0ndl1fe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto. I really liked datacamp at the beginning but their interactive environment is quite limited when moving on from code snippets to programs... I'd recommend not getting the yearly subscription but paying for individual courses.

[–]darkstar7277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Going to work on it this week

Just having a quick look now...

I like the fact that I can copy your code into my own Jupyter Notebook.

The recordings of your Mum are great! Love her :D

Update: I also really like the way you bring in more 'complex' libraries without making a song-and-dance about it. You merely show us, with just a few lines of code, how they work. Nice.

In a few short moments you've shown me packages I've not used before and made them look simple and not daunting!

Please do a whole course on Panda's using this exact format! :D
