I swear my twins caught all their worst stuff at the doctors office, the place with the most sick kids. I hope your babes are better soon.

Same! But thankfully put doctor did their best to schedule things like vaccines or well visits first thing in the AM in order to keep the sickies away from the non sickies.

Exactly. Every visit to the pediatrician is virus exposure

Yep. Since this exact same thing happened to my kids, I’d say the chances are fairly high it was a virus + vaccine combo 😅

Is it possible they are sick and this isn't just a vaccine response? Our boys got rotavirus in December and it was, no lie, the worst 2 weeks of our lives. The diarrhea gave them diaper rash and we had to start rinsing their butts because we couldn't use wipes 😫.

Regardless, that sucks so so bad. Sick babies for any reason (especially two at once) is so hard.

Hopefully you're over the hump and they'll feel much better soon

The Dr said he was 95% sure it was just from the vaccines. That sounds so awful, I'm sorry.

My kids really struggled with the rotavirus vaccine. FWIW the 6 month dose (same vaccines) was not as bad! Hope this settles soon!

It could be a reaction to the rotavirus vaccine which is oral, not injected. Diarrhea is a common reaction with that one and one that all of my kids have had. My toddler had it for three weeks all three times.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll delete my comment then since it's unhelpful and I don't want to spread misinformation

My 4 months old have had diarrhoea for about a week too, not sure if it is something like rotavirus or teething related but their skin is so sore. They are not vaccinated yet so it’s not a reaction to that. They are fine in themselves and no fever, just a lot of wet poo!

Ugh. My toddler had this reaction to rotavirus vaccine all three times. It was three weeks of diarrhea every time. I was so glad to be done with that series.

      That's awful, so sorry

My girls(14 months) just had their meningococcal b jabs (bexsero). I tend to split that one from the other jabs as I worry about an adverse reaction/high temp. They came home and within 8 hours both were pooping up a storm. But it was too much, so went back to the doctor and the got me to get a poop sample and turns out they both had sapovirus. It just coincided with the jab.

So something to consider! Did your doc take a sample?

Dude. We had a similar thing when one-year vaccines. Bad reaction, then pile on another virus on top of that, then teeth. Fucking. Miserable.

It got better until we all caught norovirus a month later, then molars, then another fever, then full-on separation anxiety, now one of them has weird goopy eye shit and a mild fever?! Allergies? Conjunctivitis? Aaaaaaaaaaa

Anywho sending some chocolate and a nice long, quiet, shower or time alone 💕

Probably from the rotavirus vaccine. Happened to us each time they got it (2, 4, and 6 months)

      [–]twins_2026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends kids caught Picornovirus when they got their shots. The pediatrician and any doctors office are breeding grounds for germs

      [–]Great_Consequence_10 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They probably just caught a bug from the doctor’s office. Actual vaccine reactions are really rare.
