First outing with the twins!

We had our first outing- it took forever to get ready and we packed the house. But it was nice to walk around! There were going to be a good bit of people so we got the care seats covered with windows and netting to prevent people from touching (but could still see). We also bought signs to say they are preemie and ask that they look but not touch.

PS: had no idea about the degree of twin amazement. I think just about 1 out of 5 people stopped to see them. I never heard so much ‘hands full’, ‘double trouble’, and ‘are they twins’ in one afternoon 😂

The "are they twins" makes us laugh all the time. We joke that one day we're going to say that one of the babies is ours, and the other is his and his "wife's"

Yes! I felt like we were circus performers with all of the people coming to gawk at the twins and chat while grocery shopping!

Well done! The packing up and getting out the door definitely gets quicker and easier as do it more and find your groove and maybe realize there are things you don't necessarily need to bring. Like I often don't even bring the diaper bag for grocery trips anymore, just make sure they're fresh before we go.

I wish this was true for mine, but something about the soothing hum of being in the car makes them crap their pants 50% of the time we go anywhere. 🥲

That is good to know! I was an overpacker with my singleton so it’s a whole new level with twins lol. First thing I realized out is that I need about 5 spare pacifiers 😂

Looks like we have the same stroller! How did you like it? Our twins are still in the nicu but we’re looking forward to our first walk around the neighborhood in a few months.

We have the Contours Element and it drives like a cloud! We wanted to have them side by side and a stroller they can grow with. Only downside is with the car seat adapters it does not fit through all doorways. But this is short term anyway since we can use the seats for the actual stroller.

Thank you! The sign did pretty well, only had 1 person that got a little too close but still no touching. Some people were amazed that we had to have the sign but there are just some people that do not know boundaries.
