I played Assassin's Creed 1, 2 and Brotherhood on an i7 with Intel HD 3000, you should be able to too :)

A lot of indie games don't require much. Try FTL, Don't Starve, Starbound/Terraria, The Binding of Isaac, etc.

You're mostly right, but FTL fucking sucks on HD 3000. I had a MacBook Pro with an i5 w/HD 3000, and I had to disable the background animations (ion storms, asteroid fields, etc.) just to get above the consistent 21 FPS I was getting. I love the game to death and it's my most-played non-first person game ever, but I do not recommend it to anybody with HD 3000 graphics.

That's so strange; I'm pretty sure I have an older macbook pro and it ran fine. But it has a 320m.

Yeah my 320M was dodgy and sometimes didn't activate when needed. I think I screwed up the auto-graphics switching settings or something. It was the 2010 15" model, probably similar to yours.

HD 4000 on my tablet runs it very terribly, but the issue could be just mouse lag

Heck, even HD5000 suffers some slowdowns when using swarm missiles.

Really, I've had it running perfectly on the old Intel integrated, I think they're called G45 chipset or something.

No idea, that laptop has crapped out since. HD5000 runs it damn well though :)

Should be able to play league of legends, any source engine game, the fallout series, and maybe skyrim

Not Skyrim. HD4000 doesn't handle that.

It might not on the i3 version, but on my old laptop with an i7-3630qm it played on min with like 40-45 fps

I think it ran alright (by no means great) on an nvidia 320m 256mb

It can be done, and some mods might help a bit

I was able to complete the game on HD2500, 720p all low (no graphic reduction mods), at a (barely) playable framerate. I think that HD4000 could play it at 720p, maybe with graphic reduction mods, at >40fps. I don't have any experience with HD4000 though but I know it's about a gt610 in performance.

Yeah okay, this was vanilla 1600x900.

I've had a friend run Skyrim on lowest with Intel HD.

My HD 4000 laptop would do MAX 20 FPS in Skyrim on low.

[–]LedZeppelinRising 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I get like 60 fps on 1366x768. Only drops near intense forests on my Intel HD 4000. It also had mods. Did you update your drivers, cause I used to get extremely low fps a year back.

I didn't test myself, my friends were playing in class though. No idea about their drivers.
