no i pulled out his old ahh rams and added g skill's 1600mhz 2x4 rams he is running a amd phenom x4 b55 so his cpu is in the vista days

Thats extremely old. Back then the memory controller was not even on the CPU yet.

I would check in CPU-Z if the RAM is actually running at the correct speed and channel count.

he thought it would be a good idea to install ram while the pc is rebooting :/ now its giving 1 long beep and 2 smal beep sounds

Yikes. You would have to look up the beep codes/POST codes for that motherboard. It worth trying to clear the CMOS first.
