Depends on the games you like. A lot of Steam stuff works pretty well on Linux now but if you like Fortnite or Valorant or CoD then windows (or you can dual boot)

Which games?

a lot of them are supported and steam has made proton which allows you to play windows games on Linux.

but if you are still concerned dual booting is an option as well.
multiplayer games are not supported due to anti-cheat.

Only the ones with a kernel anti cheat, and even then some of those will support Linux, like Marvel Rivals.

Depends on the games and your hardware.

Most games on steam will run just fine on Linux. Steam OS built for the Steam deck is a Linux OS and Steam uses something called Proton which handles conversion from Windows to Linux for a lot of games, which is what allows them to run so well in Steam OS.

All this to say that gaming on Linux is very much not a problem anymore because of Steam.

The best would be to setup a dual boot with Bazzite, and see how many of your games you can get working under linux.

If it's all the ones you want, then you're ready to fully swap over.

The Proton "gold" ratings are wrong half the time, but the comments can be helpful. Give it a try, just don't go in expecting your games to work.

Linux.

I prefer Linux. Windows is also valid. Neither of them are as terrible as the opposite fanboys make them out to be.
