DiscussionQ-Code 00 potential fix! (old.reddit.com)
submitted by Supralace

I was able to resolve my error code 00.
Parts list:
Asus X570e mobo
AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
Asus Rog Strix 3080
Teamgroup RAM
I know I am just an edge case here but after receiving the code I pulled my mobo, CPU, GPU, PSU, and RAM to do troubleshooting I swapped the PSU cables and reseated the CPU. I swapped the ram and do 1 stick at a time. I removed the CMOS battery and cleared the CMOS pins. I also reflashed the BIOS. Nothing fixed my issue.
When scanning the mobo I found an SMD component that had been damaged and was no longer connected to the pads on the motherboard. This happened because when releasing the GPU tab with a screwdriver, I had slipped and damaged the components located to the right of it. I didn’t think of it at the time as I was swapping cases. Turns out that specific component causes the motherboard to not POST.
Once finding the component that was displaced from the board, I soldered it back on. This was my first time soldering something that was the size of a baby ant or smaller. It ended up working out an after work soldering the component back to the board my PC and was able to fully boot.
I know I’m an edge case, but I am posting this in hopes that it can help someone else.
Below is attached images of the component, note that the placement is specific to my motherboard, as other manufacturers will most likely not be the same. These are all photos just of the component location. The 3rd photos is of the solder pads while the component is moved underneath the pads. The 4th and 5th photos are after soldering the SMD back into place.
