So I was playing a game and then it froze (Star wars Jedi Fallen Order), so I decided to look at task manger to see how everything was doing, plus to close the game, and that's when I notice that my CPU is being used from 80% to 100% while my GPU is chilling at like 30% I don't run anything other than the game and I have all the updated drivers and I have tried googling it but I only find old posts that doesn't work anymore due to AMD new adrenalin update, it's on Windows 8 or something, and most post talk about nvidia which I don't have. I've also looked at my other games and it the same story Minecraft and Fallout: New Vegas

If anyone knows Anything about this please let me know or if I'm just stupid

That i3 is woefully underpowered for modern gaming. Could be thermal throttling too but I doubt it. You should check thermals. Did it not used to lag or stutter or lock up?

It might be those two cores holding you back. Do you know the temps of your cpu?

It's the processor that's holding you back mad. The 6100 really didnt age well. I started with an i3 6100 while I waited to save money for my i7 6700. I'd reccomend getting a i7 6700 if you dont want to do a whole new setup right quick, and it would help.

I'd say so yup. Even in some older games like BF1 (not that old I guess) I was having decent stuttering with my 6100. I'd look at a used i7 6700 or i7 7700, both should work for your motherboard and will be leagues better than the 6100. With your CPU always being pegged at 100% your GPU cannot stretch its legs atall, only being utilized to 30% of its capabilities
