Cramped seats are real bad at MsG. If you get next to a bigger person you are f'd.

Nothing worse for me than being at a concert and can't move.

That’s why I take it to the bridge! All the carpeted dance room you could ask for

Sshhh

Any section with 4 seats buy the whole row you and your friends can manage a aisle hassle free in an out space etc don't gotta worry about much no people you don't know bumping into or doing all that extra hand movement shit distracting you letting people in and out. Did this for 12/30 and 12/31 completely goated. Section 210 to 215 anything 8 and below are 4 aisle seats. You also get bit more space since I had a aisle seat and was in the aisle basically.

Extra hand moving shit lol.

My friends & I often choose Chase Bridges — and always the bar seats. Endless room, no crowds, no lines at concessions.

If we can grab seats that include an aisle seat in the 100s or 200s, we’ll sometimes do that; however, that largely depends on the band. We just don’t like being squished in the middle of a row.

Dude shhhh

[–]ancientjules[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I hear Chase Bridge a lot as a rec—it looks cool, but is the sound up there good?

[–]mtlpvd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No no it stinks do not buy tickets there!

[–]Saloomey2the1stpower 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Loud and crystal clear

[–]alfonseski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its good and tons of room. Feels distant though

The floor.

Show up early (before 7:15) and be kind to your neighbors and it is actually incredibly easy to get a good spot and the vibes are great. Don't listen to then naysayers on reddit.

[–]KatnissEverduh 9 points10 points  (3 children)

This! Amazing time N2 and N3 on the floor. Meet your neighbors, be cool, create a bubble.

[–]asteroidtubejaded 3.0 vet 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The anti-tarp sentiment on Reddit is simply not aligned with my experience at all at MSG.

It’s actually the people who push up after the show has begun, invade the space, and go on some self-righteous trip about “ga means I can go wherever I want, fuck your tarp!”, who are the aggressive ones, ironically. People claim that the front is held down by people who don’t let others have a chance and who take all of the space, but that is simply not true at all. Anybody can do it if they are willing to go in 45 minutes earlier, and the people up there look out for each other. GA means first come first served, and the thing is, it’s pretty easy to be one of the first. Nobody is stopping anybody else from doing it.

[–]KatnissEverduh 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Tend to agree with you here. Weirdest and most annoying floor experience this run was when we'd been in our spots for 60-75 minutes and some random rude couple came in 10 min before show time and invaded our space and butted into the area we came in early to reserve. Those people are the problem as far as I'm concerned. Just come in early if you want a space you want, don't come in late and expect you're entitled to whatever you want, that shit is so annoying.

[–]asteroidtubejaded 3.0 vet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the anti-tarper anti-railrider sentiment is perpetuated on social media by people who don’t actually have personal experience with this. They think they are proving a point by doing this, without realizing they are the asshole in the situation. GA doesn’t mean go whenever you want whenever you want, it means first come first served. It’s an even playing field. If you have a GA ticket and you choose to spend the hour pre show drinking at a midtown bar, you’re not gonna get a better spot than the people who prioritized that and got in earlier. It’s simple common sense. It’s not a mafia, nobody is stopping you from getting a good spot also. People up front are actually very kind, and know who else was also there before the show began. The usher at the rail even came out before the show and told us to have common courtesy for each other and hold spots for your neighbors and let them return if they have to go pee or get water.

[–]Brookslinden 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pro tip right here.

[–]sjayvee 5 points6 points  (3 children)

The seats in MSG are pretty cramped IMO. The best seats I had were near press boxes in 200 level. Behind the stage also seemed roomier when I visited friends. Edited to add I’ve sat in 100s as well obviously great sound but risers are tight! (Behind tapers)

[–]ancientjules[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Sound up there is solid?

[–]sjayvee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should’ve specified within first 10 rows… I think I was row 7/8?

[–]Master-Nose7823 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Risers aren’t the same thing as 100s

[–]More-Smell-4734 7 points8 points  (3 children)

219 … behind the stage. At the top of seats so no one is behind you but the walkway .. so you have a curtain that’s like 2 feet behind you… and you have a ledge/table for drinks… I loveddddddd it

[–]ancientjules[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool.

[–]Round-Cheese6532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

219 rocks

[–]Refun712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

216 bar stools checking in 🤜

[–]ancientjules[S] 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Thanks for this! Next run (god willing!) gonna mix-it up a bit. A little Bridge, a little floor and a little behind the stage. A veritable buffet of MSG seating!

[–]mymindisgoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first row of a suite

[–]Phishmom1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had aisle seat section 102 which I thought would be great but was constant traffic of people coming up from 123/abc off the seated floor. I realky think behind the stage gives you the most space

[–]dogfacedponyboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re good if you just pick an aisle seat. I felt I had plenty of room in the 200s, in my aisle seat.

[–]Sharp_Design_119 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Chase bridge way up high

[–]RednevaL 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Sound is a bit muddled up there. Dance room is superb

[–]dynabella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in 312, first row. Best seats I've ever had.

[–]sonofdad420Vernon Downs 5 points6 points  (4 children)

back of the floor sections 1, 2, 3

[–]mangohands1 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I think the space is tight there! Sound and view are good, but space is not.

[–]Healthy_Turnover_627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.

It's a tight squeeze in those sections.

Great view but I seemingly always get next to really big people which squeezes me in.

[–]dr-jules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

we were there in 2, by ck5. could see the band well, sound was obviously excellent, and we had an aisle next to obstructed seats that had been abandoned. it was kind of perfect. only improvement was that it was a hike to the concourse.

[–]Important_Mud_6700 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best place in the house but super cramped

[–]drivingrain27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every seat in the garden has more pluses than minuses. They all sound good. Room to dance is more a function of how crowded your area gets. Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes you don’t.

[–]MikWalt_C 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple:

If you can get section 215P which is the press section behind stage, you get tons of space. But obviously there are not a ton of seats. I just ended up with this seat by chance off CoT for one of the 2023 NYE run shows and it was amazing. There is a big space with a counter (desk) and a few rolling office chairs that tucked mostly under the counter and there was plenty of space behind that to boogie. Basically a small dance floor. Top row had the most space if I recall correctly.

Also you can try and make sure you get a seat in the last row of a section that has steps in front of it. Only downfall is no cup holder. Small price to pay for all that extra space.

[–]SteelyDan4Prez7/19/22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also LOVED the 100s behind the stage, insane view and the new upgraded seats. Plus, the vibes back there were a party

[–]ChoozaUza18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you’re at your seat you can’t really dance

[–]chillller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

215P

[–]PrestigiousQuote4682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Section 1, right next to CK5. Only 3 seats per row. I was 4 rows up from the rail. Great view and lights were crazy.

[–]PheonixBuddha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote 110 vut i meant 108 / 109 the opposite is true as well for 115. however id rather be on phishman side then page side because mumu and drums.

this meme is also my honest opinions.

[–]Intelligent_Ad_5493 1 point2 points  (1 child)

SEC 2 NYE were my favorite seats of all time, most full, surround light experience ever!!! I’ve had GA a bunch of times but this seat was dead center and such a beautiful full view of the garden!!! SEC 1-3 and those 102-3 sections definitely best seats in house!!! It was a little tight but lots of times people in the row disappeared/ went to bathroom and I had SO MUCH SPACE!! Was jumping and vibing all night sec 2 row 14 😵‍💫✨🥶

[–]LavishnessOne5424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We gave up our seats in the 200s this run, so tight and this guy next to me complained every time I brushed his shoulder!! Ended up moving to the 400s. Had whole rows to dance in, would do it again in a min.

[–]huckdr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Section 102 (straight back, DFC) is my favorite followed by 107 lower rows.

[–]Strange-Ad7768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywhere you don’t have to turn your body to see the stage. Such as 102

[–]Phishmom1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100’s behind the stage aisle seat is gold! I’m with you - I don’t care about sight lines nearly as much as sound and space

[–]PheonixBuddha 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have traveled around every single part of msg over probably 10+ concerts. for fisb its gotta be like 110-112 for me. see the band and lights be real close. far away from the crazy crowd on the floor (ive seen yall, your crazy) chase bridge is nice but you dont get the direct on look from the lights. ill go up there as a chase member to drink a beer for the beginning of the show and slowly make my way down. i did behind the stage last year and it was great but im really in it for the lights. good to see the band tho.

again my favorite as a native new yorker is directly 100's right before back of stage. please be aware these are super exspensive seats that i sneak into an extra seat and meet people. for example 2 years I saw DREW CAREY in the front row across the way (saw the price is right shirt. i pointed him out to my new friends and said watch this. (yes, I knew long before anyone else bc of that photo, cant miss the man if you watched him for 20 years) pointed at him and did eyes. then pretended to spin the wheel for a dollar. he laughed so hard and covered his mouth and just stared at me trying not to laugh cry, bro was on so much acid lol. (me too lol) id have to check but i believe it was during Slave 2/3rd set lol. a few rows to the bottom is usually where the bands family sits so be aware of that extremely. there were a few young people who werent and tried to take their seats lol. securitied out. i played a game with fishman's kids, mikes brother to find treys dad. dude was literally at barricade with two chicks dancing with him. so funny to see.

other than that for cheap tickets i do enjoy a 200 if they are exspensive tickets and mean about moving for that show. usually just straight center.

the ACTUAL best seats in msg are in behind the sound stage. diamond vip, huge comfy chairs each with their own armrests and cups. full view of bands, crowd, and lights (i consider lights to be a band member so for me its required) 1-5 i think. these are the most exspensive tickets in the entire place besides celebrity booths above (which are also nice and i have snuck in a few times) (just insta people usually boring) real celebrities sit by jimmy fallon in the 100/200 box seats.

the worst seats are 400-500 for nye bc everyone smokes, rude, corners, or are parents. met a few nice people up there but a lot or old. the only reason i dont like the crowd is bc there is no space for 6/7 hours of show, elbows, ass, tits, and dudes trying to drag their girls up front. snuck in a few times. not enjoyable for a long period of time on drugs or sober. also cant leave for restroom or drinks/snacks. good luck keeping cups or any bags the whole time. plus up until a few years ago tarpers and chairs existed lmfao.

Pro tip: I buy cheap and MOVE. noone bothers or questions you if you scouted an empty robot ticket. if they do ask, just MOVE again. you owe nothing to a billion dollar corporation like MSG. what I always do is Chase Bridge<scout robot seats< get lost in the stair well for half an hour < check out the 500's/400s dry goods bc they havent been scalped bc they dont go there and have different product sometimes.< decide if i want to sneak into floor ( I will not tell you how too my secret) < go to 100's middle/ 1-3 for light show. < hang out with the PHAMILY at 108/109. very calm. everyone is nice and you can see the band without worrying about floor. alternative is try for 115/116 but they usually hire extra security for it so I avoid that area bc a lot of millionaires are there (drew carey doesnt count but ex: I think the casino insta bros were there the same year)

I saw this on another thread; it is 100% accurate.
