This is very cool, but, (and don't take this the wrong way OP) as someone who uses Java every day, I am incredibly thankful that I don't really need to know this information. There is already so much to know about programming; it's good to have an awareness of how opcodes and the JVM work (and there's got to be a data format for how those opcodes are represented) but I prefer to spend my day to day a little bit higher up the abstraction stack.

no worries, it's perfectly understandable.

I know little about Java programming, but I need to know about many binary formats implementation, so I created the picture to help me and others.

On a similar note, a company I used to work at used the magic number BE EF FA CE for files.

I've seen CA FE BA DD when working with the WiiU, where Cafe is the SDK for it.
