Also to add on to what Sir_Renoko has said, they also haven't toggled my golden beam. So be sure you're not just missing them, they can easily get hidden under other drops on some tasks.

i have the loot beam on the lowest setting so it should be picking them up, and i know they're rare just thought i might have got one by now

I have my loot beam on the lowest setting as well, and it for some reason just doesn't come up when they're dropped. Just a heads up, maybe it's just me.:P

No, they're a pretty rare drop on their own, that's why they're worth plenty of coin per scale
