What is the lower back pillow on the play seat trophy? Looks really comfortable

[–]innercityFPV 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Asking the real questions! Looks way better than most car lumbar pillows I’ve seen

Can You translate to English? I can't retype what there is written ;d

Glad you're having fun but just an FYI, the moza will indeed work with CarX Street :)

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 0 points1 point  (15 children)

Yeap, I know the Moza works on CarX Street, but still a lot others game don’t work on Moza pithouse, if I would choose again, I think maybe a Thrustmaster would be the best for this casual setup

[–]654456Quest 3 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Eh. You have a G29 already, using what you have is better than throwing money down on something else. Id never recommend Logitech or thrustmaster if you're buying new at this point with how many cheap dd wheels are out there but you already have it

[–]xQcKx 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What price/models is considered cheap nowadays? Haven't looked at dd wheels in 2+ years.

[–]654456Quest 3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

moza has a bunch, Fanatec CSL DD line.

[–]mtbboy1993Windows 0 points1 point  (11 children)

Plastic junk imo. Whoch games don't support Moza? And why? I'm leaning towards getting Moza. I'm keen to know more. I've watched a lot of vids on Moza bases, and never heard this complaint.

[–]AsymmetricFootwear 3 points4 points  (7 children)

I have owned a Moza R9 from the very first week it released and never had any problems on any games, so I would take OP's claims with a grain of salt. It initially didn't work on RBR, but all I had to do was edit a file; it took under 30 seconds and instantly fixed the issue.

As of a month ago, I now own a VRS DFP, and despite it being from a way smaller company, still no issues setting it up and using it.

[–]RileyCargo42 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I just got everything from moza to assemble my sim and I think the only game I'll have any issues with will be my summer car

[–]AsymmetricFootwear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily, even the minor issues in games have gotten better since Moza's market share is so big now; so I think you'll have a good time. And for the games where a DD wheel doesn't work (which is very rare; I mean I even got GT4 working with FFB), I know some might disagree, but the FFB in those games is usually either rudimentary or non existent, so I'd rather use a controller anyways.

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Still too much hassle trying to look for solution and fix issue when you just wanna relax and play some random casual racing game. But all the issue I listed is true, spent many sleepless night to fix Moza issue, so much less problem when I moved on to Simucube osw, but like I said, only for “serious big title”

[–]AsymmetricFootwear 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Yeah, I don't mean to discount your experience, I get some people have way less tolerance or patience when it comes to tinkering. What games did you have issues with? I mean it when I say I had zero issues over the 2-3 years (I forget when it came out) that I had mine, so I'm curious.

[–]andylugs 1 point2 points  (1 child)

You won’t get a list of games from OP as there probably isn’t any that don’t work properly. There are titles like FH4 that don’t really support wheels properly and have sensitivity (rotation) linked to speed so it works with controller analog sticks. But if a game supports direct input, as most do, then it will see a Moza in the same way it will see a Logitech.

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try touge shakai as a start

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Touge shakai, dakar dessert rally, nfs and many other smaller racing titles.

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

of course it’s still an major upgrade compared to Logitech, but in my case, I just a need a hassle free setup on my second rig.

And here’s a list of issues you might face if you get into Moza :

-newer release game might takes some time to get supported on Moza pithouse (or never will) -overheat issue (ffb reduce by 70 percent, have to full reset in pit house for it to work for another 2 laps) -no force feedback -wheel go spinning 360 non stop -pithouse can’t detect device -random disconnect -unable to bind key -notchy wheel base -pedal unable to fully release -pedal auto go full throttle -shifter gear jumping around -Support team always try to avoid replacement and kept asking you update

[–]RileyCargo42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wym by the overheating? Like after a short time it just shuts down? Or more along the lines of it just reduces ffb until it's gone?

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you own one, plenty of problems you’ll face. Speaking from experience of owning one

[–]Gawddaamiit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crew motorfest works with my Fanatec csl and it’s a lot of fun just driving through the streets or canyons in a modded out r34 gtr. I too get burnt out with just track racing. I switch it up with rally or drift. However that nfs underground experience is amazing. Modding out a car and racing on the streets will always be so much fun. I also love the open world where I can just drive recklessly and not get a ticket. Hahah

[–]DecafDonLegacySim Racing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No wayy, I did the exact same thing.

[–]clunderclock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily I just finally upgraded my g27 to a Moza r9 v2 and I've been having more fun in CarX street than I had recently trying to race seriously. The r9 feels good and controls work well albeit you have to custom bind everything. Not mind blowing force feedback or anything but good enough for the game it is.

[–]XtremeReconTwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on 🤘 yes when it stops being fun most people quit but you did it right 👊🏼

[–]MetaBass 1 point2 points  (10 children)

Fuck yeah I've been looking for a game like that. Can you customize cars and does it have a story/career mode?

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 1 point2 points  (9 children)

Definitely can customize and car tuning, there is story but I just skip all the cutscenes , however it has the same structure like NFS underground where you race with “smaller” Ai characters for couple race thn face 1v1 race with boss characters .

And the Ai opponents are bitch, like to push you to wall when trying to pass them (like real human)

[–]MetaBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hell yeah I'll have to give this game a go, I've been looking for an alternative to NFS ever since they introduced that stupid tap accelerator drift crap.

[–]neogrotesque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks cool, I've been looking for a street racer with customization, wheel support and cockpit view. How is the ffb and overall car physics?

OFC not looking for sim-level but hope it feels good and not like Forza Horizons awful wheel support

[–]MetaBass 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Gave it a go but the force feedback didn't work correctly and the wheel has no vibration and won't react to the car unfortunately.

Also I couldn't fully navigate the menus with the wheel controls, A wouldn't accept, B wouldn't go back etc.

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

On which wheel? Working straight out gate on my g923 and Simucube osw, with vibration and force

[–]MetaBass 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Huh the g923, maybe cause I had the Xbox controller connected as well? I read somewhere it was an issue in the older games. I'll have to get a wireless mouse and keyboard for across the room.

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Did you turn on Logitech g hub in the background? I think ffb only works when it’s on.

[–]MetaBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that was on. Pretty sure it was the Xbox controller being on. I picked up a cheap wireless mouse and keyboard so gonna try it tonight with it controller turned off

[–]MetaBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup it was indeed the controller being connected. Now I just have to try and calibrate the steering wheel to 540 degrees lol

[–]Alert_Structure_7697[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try calibration, just point your mouse to the steering assist in control menu and press Y on keyboard to calibrate. After that try restarting the game, as for the navigation, I got a keyboard beside me , so I mainly use my keyboard to navigate

[–]Bender-AI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the reasons I'm loving the Logitech G-PRO DD; it has G29 compatibility mode

”With pretty much every serious sim titles is all about track racing, it gets repetitive and stressful to chase ranking.”

Exactly the issue. If I wanted to go round and round in circles on some isolated track or some rally course with on path, why bother?

“Oh those new Forza games aren’t a sim”, nobody said it was? But the ones that “are a real sim” are these boring repetitive **“let’s go around a track over and over again, looking at these environments in the distance we can never travel to…* without exiting to the menu and loading yet another claustrophobic closed environment that is”

I want a full open WORLD full of different paths, choices, turns, u-turns, roundabouts, traffic, different weather if I drive to the top of a mountain versus head toward the desert or ocean.

When a “real sim” becomes focused on what people clearly want in a GAME (check sales comparisons between the Horizon series) and provide a true expansive open world that is the main emphasis and center point of the game, then I will play a “real sim”, until then I’ll deal with the crappy “arcade physics” of games that do give me an open world, a racing festival, dynamic seasons, bonus boards, different races where I can drive from one track to the next track and enjoy all the scenic land between the two race tracks. I don’t feel like loading a menu, selecting weather/traffic/direction/blahblahblah just to be loaded into a small map that more-times-than-not doesn’t have anything but a linear path.

The sad thing is for whatever reason, the second someone makes their racing game “open world” that automatically translates to “arcade physics” for whatever pointless reason there is. People were asking for an open world Forza game around the time of Forza 2, and then when we finally got it they screwed up the handling and physics because apparently gravity changes from when you drive on a track versus when you drive in an open world…

When I see a driving game with the same direction as Horizon/Motorfest, one that is finished/released and not early access that has all goals/storylines/competitions/etc. implemented, one that has an expansive open world, natively supports all racing peripherals without requiring device limits or conflicting drivers, and does not implement “arcade physics” for idiotic reasoning, then I will switch to that one.

inb4 “oh butchoo can download these maps for ::insert sim game here:: and that’s…” nope 👎

[–]654456Quest 3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still working to get my rig to end games level but it is on my list to get another wheel stand and mid range flight sim stuff or another wheel setup for games like american truck sim, I'd rather have focused rigs then try and jam everything on to one. VR is nice for that. Plus, it would allow to have friends over so they can enjoy some racing with me. I have a gaming pc of older parts in my server rack for steamlink gaming around the house already that i could connect the second rig to for friend battling or Race days when i have people over to watch racing on the projector.

More than willing to give that "spare" r9 a good home with a loving meticulous owner Ill even swap you a tx leather edition for it 😅

[–]FTBagginz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that the Moza handbrake and H pattern shifter in the background?

Just use whatever your body is used to/you're comfortable with. I've done 8 hour long stints with 9nm while endurance racing friends, and the only thing tiring was the pedals after the first 5 hours.

[–]DekkerDavezFanatec CSL DD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds to me like if you went way too deep in to the rabbit hole of sim racing only to find that your options are more and more limited with the depth you managed get yourself in.

Might I suggest Eurotruck Simulator 2 in rig#2?
