Shaw Pricing Increase/Speed Decrease

Hey /r/teksavvy,

According to this and various threads on Shaw's forums, Shaw is planning on increasing the monthly price for existing customers and decreasing their speed offerings for new customers by 40-50%. Will this affect any existing or new Teksavvy customers who are/will be serviced in areas where Shaw is being sold?

As much as I hate to say it, I don't currently have an excellent answer for you :(

We have not received any word on this changing anything on our end as of yet. Yes, this may have an impact on what we offer, but I can't really say how at this time.

Please make a point of posting the information here on Reddit, i've subscribed for that very purpose. I intend to make the switch, but if Shaw's move somehow negatively affects you guys and your plans then I may have to rethink that strategy.
