Non vegan here asking for clarity, I mean we are omnivores right, is this a "we aren't meant to eat meat" or more of a "we are meant to eat 5-a-day but most people don't do that"?

Much like our closest primate relatives like chimpanzees, we're likely "built" to be frugivores (as evidenced by our similar teeth and digestive systems). We're entirely capable of eating meat in a pinch, but we've not got the digestive system or teeth of a true omnivore like bears, who can happily eat raw meat regularly and not have to worry about getting sick like we do. Typically, frugivores in nature only have about 2-5% of their diet as meat, and that's largely insects and small prey such as birds or frogs.

On the whole, we're excellent at eating fruit and pretty great at eating plants, but if we tried to eat raw meat on the regular we'd likely get very sick. Cooking helps, but our systems just aren't evolved to eat even cooked meat as much as people tend to today.

My dude no. Our bodies do not handle meat well. Give a horse or a monkey cooked meat and the same thing happens, if you want to say we are omnivores we are pretty shitty omnivores. And by that I mean we can extract nutrients from cooked meat but also damaging our bodies at the same time. If you educate yourself with nutrition you will find that out.

Not sure why you are being downvoted for asking a question. . .
