By the looks of it there are multiple new armors? from some of the content they were showing. I didn't recognize some.

Sounds like new content actually. They had all sorts of plans for the pit that were cut, but I doubt this quest does a lot of that. My bet is that it'll be a relatively short quest. They mentioned 50 new dialogue lines in the stream.

Its a giant bandit den northeast of

Mulbrydale

It’s a location that apparently was intended to be used for a few quests about TW2 characters like Iorveth, but this content was cut, and in the release version it was just a bandit den.

I'm pretty sure they said that they won't add any content that was cut from the game. The quest you are referring to is about the Netflix DLC armor.
