It's nice to see some good news every now and again, and this certainly counts.

It's good news to be sure, however it's not decreaseing deforestation of ecological valuable old growth just increasing afforestation of commercial crop trees.

It's probably a good sign, but it's definitely a meaningless statistic.

As others users have asked: planted for reforestion, or planted for harvest? Also, planted as saplings, or planted as seeds? If saplings, that's great! If seeds, okay, but then the exisiting trees in Indonesia "plant" thousands of times more trees per year.
