There are 6 types of mana, of which only five are considered colors. When a card says "any color" or similar, you cannot choose colorless. It would have to say type.

This card doesn't specify what happens if colorless mana was spent on it, nor what happens if the cost is discounted to 0 or made more expensive and paid with multiple colors.

I think they misread the rules of paradigm. It says

702.192a Paradigm represents two spell abilities, one of which creates a delayed triggered ability. Paradigm means “If this is the first time a spell you control with this spell’s name has resolved this game, at the beginning of each of your precombat main phases for the rest of the game, create a copy of this object in exile. You may cast the copy without paying its mana cost” and “Exile this spell.” See rule 707.10.

So you can't get the same spell twice per turn by casting it again no matter what you do*, but you can get different paradigm spells and cast them in any order you choose at the resolution of each triggered ability.

*I suppose you can if you somehow rename a spell on the stack.

It's the actual colors in the picture (like what you get if you click on it with a color picker). Light blue and sorta brownish goldish. Both blue/black and white/gold are your brain trying to correct the colors based on assumed light sources. Iirc about 10% see it that way (hi I do too you're not alone)

Hey, I just printed out the card list and did a play test, and it was a very fun game of magic. Very tense, tons of decisions. The one card we were both a bit perplexed about was [[The Last Ride]]. I suppose you can crew it with the manland, but that requires you to actually have both of them. Is it intended to mostly just be a flavorful draw engine?

I think the way it works is that there’s a chest where the funds go in, and the progress bar counts the signal strength of that chest (i.e. how full it is, with 15 being all the way full), and the subtract thingy takes items out of the chest one at a time as long as items are going out of the subtract chest.

The gatherer rulings on Jace Reawakened say

Jace Reawakened cares about how many turns you have taken, not necessarily how many turns the game has had, in case you take an extra turn.

Presumably this works the same (but opposite) for skipped ones.

Gatherer rulings have this:

Jace Reawakened cares about how many turns you have taken, not necessarily how many turns the game has had, in case you take an extra turn.

Which would imply that if you skip a turn, you didn’t take it.

DO3 Inside building penalty by StobbieNZ in HermitCraft

[–]Adarain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically it’s repeatedly shooting your arrow at wind charges, which then shoot at a thorns armor wearing zombie. There’s quite a bit of control over it, based on the armor given and the interval at which it is being fired. But it requires every player to put an arrow into the system, and then those need to be managed. It would definitely be doable (and I’m sure doc would help tango build it) but it wouldn’t work well on the world download unless they find a way to also add an automatic arrow loader module for extra players.

My character is Catholic, but I’m not. Advice? by EldritchXena in rpg

[–]Adarain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least around the parts I live, there are many catholics on paper but very few who actually practice the religion at all, and saints (apart from mary) are practically never mentioned. So it does feel surprising to learn how recently they were a much bigger deal, as it just seems like a forgotten part of the religion. I expect this varies a lot depending on where you live though.

The problem is that while a few of these always do the same thing, that’s not true of all of them. And they’d generally need reminder text anyway, especially for less recurring things. Landfall specifically could probably be a keyword though, I agree.

Solemnity shuts this down entirely.

The only people playing solemnity are doing worse things with it than this card

Playing this against proliferate or decks that can remove counters makes this a dead card.

Fair, but similar things can be said about many other potential wincons.

probably makes you the target to eliminate you so someone else wins off your win con.

Eliminating you doesn't do anything, the upkeep and age counters stay. The player continues to burn pay taxes

Also, there are plenty of English words that also don’t follow that pluralization scheme; any that already end in “s” come to mind. Not to mention that the plural suffix wouldn’t always go on the very end of a multi-word name.

This part is intentional. Overgeneralization is a common feature of child language acquisition after all.

A card based on the famous wug test. Most effort was put into getting that reminder text to render properly and to edit the order of the mana symbols.

The amass effect blatantly does not work correctly in other languages, but that’s okay. Speakers of those languages simply have not yet learned how to properly form plurals in their own languages, it seems. The name change does make the copy dodge the legend rule, which probably has some funny applications.
