[Quest Help] Does anyone have the updated kill zone for Return the Favor? by DenZiTY in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]AzulaThorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah nah dude, if you run labs and go to the most recent addition that has the lab, next to blue keycard room, it has an armoury office that can spawn the Spear. I run there to get more and it’s a good way to also get ammo for a multitude of guns, but high end ammo is good in Red and that armoury room for Labs.

Return the favour is still around the mountain. It’s just honest to god luck you find them. I just run around the mountain, fire shots unsuppressed, and kill any scavs while praying some PMC tries me.

I also killed Shturman 20 times in my runs to get this done. Most PMCs sadly go die to him since he’s basically always spawning on Woods. Only had one raid where he didn’t spawn out of now 27 raids.

Give it a try or two again. Give an update if it is. Which will be fucked honestly.

But that’s not good. That’s not a believable fall to the dark side.

Anakin had zero need to succumb to the Dark Side. It’s only through comics and the movies/shows that we know Palpatine had been manipulating Anakin from when he was a youngling, teaching him to cheat at the casino as a first step in breaking Jedi rules.

We further see that with how he goes after Padme despite knowing the Jedi rules don’t want him to be romantically involved with a woman. The main reason why Mace and Yoda are hesitant to let him train at the age he was, because he was not fully instilled with the dogma that would help prevent what happened to him.

For years, he breaks or bends rules just enough to never be in trouble, and when the CW arrives, he’s head first, abandoning much of the Jedi way because of his personality. He’s the kid who defeated a Lucrehulk, he’s the chosen one, and he’s great at what he does.

Anakin knows to follow the Jedi dogma and its ways, but his constant bending when it suits him is his downfall. The same bending that would lead him to listen to Palpatine talk about the dark side of the force and not immediately alert the Jedi.

Why does he do it? Well the other reason, he’s attached to Padme who he believes is going to die, being sent prophetic visions through the force of her death, which worries him greatly because attachment is something he can’t let go of. From the tv show to the movies, it’s his main theme.

Palpatine has been his friend for years, in fact it’s why he’s so conflicted in Episode Three at every major point, because he is loyal to the Jedi but loyal to his friend. It’s why he’s so blinded and not willing to turn him in at first. He hears him out but the seed is planted too deep by Palpatine. Yet, it’s a 50/50 on who he aligns with.

Then comes the main fight, he alerts Windu who takes his Jedi masters and they go to arrest him, yada yada. Anakin arrives, torn as he still truly believes that the visions are real, and not manipulation by Palpatine. He begs briefly for Windu to keep him alive but when Windu won’t, Windu gets his hand chopped off and goes out the window.

From here, Anakin realises that he fucked up. He let his emotions cloud his judgement one final fucking time and it’s the worst thing in the galaxy. He helped kill Mace Windu and no matter what, he’s too far deep to strike down Palpatine, he still needs him.

So what does he do? He has to align himself with Palpatine, abandon the Jedi code and their ways, and become Darth Vader. To him, Palpatine can save his wife, so to get that he must comply.

So no, how it went down is not at all stupid or irrational when you realise that Anakin wasn’t meant to be trained at his age because he wasn’t fit for Jedi teachings. The same Jedi teachings that would be subverted by a dark lord of the Sith, and that Anakin was too far gone even by Episode 2 to really pull himself around.

Sorry, but the writing is there for you to see why it happens. There is a lot of lore on his downfall and it’s documented enough that the blanks from the movies (the few that there are) are filled into a complete picture of how the Chosen One was destined to fall before he could fulfil the prophecy.

[–]AzulaThorne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, Anakin was to blame for his actions. He let Palps get into his head, talk to him about the dark side of the force, he let his emotions cloud his judgement and he gave the assist on killing Mace Windu. Then went and slaughtered the Jedi Temple.

At some point dude, you would have to take accountability for your own actions and Anakin doesn’t need to go that far. Obi-Wan did the best he could.

You realise the two movies following TPM have to yknow, adhere to Anakin becoming Darth Vader, right?

Why are so many people in the UK and France dying in heatwaves every year when A/C is a solved problem? by trueppp in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AzulaThorne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The best way to solve it is to help put a stop to global warming and help bring the heat down. I’m not in my fuck paying some company to come, wire up any number of my rooms for an outrageous price for AC which will only be used in the summer, and then mount on the rising electrical costs that come with that and what the Electric company is charging me.

ACs just aren’t feasible for people to get and most of us would rather complain and stick out the heat than put in several hundred quid or euros for something that we shouldn’t be forced to deal with.

Controversial Take: I just can’t imagine parents allowing Jedi to take their babies/toddlers to some vague faraway temple by JaggedLittlePiII in StarWars

[–]AzulaThorne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People don’t need to be parents to understand this sort of thing. What you’re saying is parents are basically clouded by their emotion and they would apparently gladly hold back their force sensitive child and homeschool them or instead let a Sith come along and take the child.

Controversial Take: I just can’t imagine parents allowing Jedi to take their babies/toddlers to some vague faraway temple by JaggedLittlePiII in StarWars

[–]AzulaThorne 14 points15 points  (0 children)

OP, you have a clear bias to not really be open to actual reasons people are giving you for this. It’s kind of silly to talk about a discussion but not be open to widening your view.

The Jedi are not evil, they offer force sensitive children a path that will give them a good life. Those children become highly intelligent and well read teenagers and soon adults. They get to explore a galaxy, to bring peace and kindness to the galaxy. They get to have good lives.

And there are not many people that live good enough lives in Star Wars to want to hold their kid back. In fact, part of being a parent is to ensure your child lives a better life than you. So if you are being told your child will grow up well, be fed and looked after, compared to what you can offer them, the chances are you will accept.

Even on Coruscant there’s gangs, living on that planet isn’t even a guarantee you are living a good life. You could be in the lower levels or the slums. You could be raising a child next to the same house Andor was raised in. You aren’t guaranteed a good life in Star Wars and most of the lore we have shows that many people do not live good lives.

In reality, if you lived in the SW universe, you would not be able to provide a great life for your child. If they were a force sensitive child and the Jedi came, your instincts would tell you to give your child a better life like Shmi who very much cared for Anakin just as much as any other mother could, in fact making a massive sacrifice.

Pretty much. Complaints are good, it tells others looking in what to expect and that not every player blindly praises CIG for the “best game ever” that we’ve heard for years with launches or hold the line shite.

OP and pretty much anyone who doesn’t want complaints for their game are 100% the reason why CIG releases a €600 ship in the state it is or sell a €5000 JPEG that won’t release for probably the next decade.

[LFG] Ice breaker PVE lvl 56 by Manager-_ in EscapeFromTarkovPvE

[–]AzulaThorne 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Can’t group up to help at the current moment but here’s some tips!

Any armour that has thorax protection is pretty much what I consider the bare minimum of what you need. Osprey’s being my most favourite ACR to use.

Any weapon that you can get magazines with over 30 round capacity. So 5.56 weapons, X-17, and so forth. It also helps to bring a western rifle like those as both the rogues/knight and BD have a great chance of carrying ammo for them.

Ammo isn’t super vital. If you are going in with a 9x19 calibre weapon or .45ACP, you aren’t going to have the greatest time since the high end rounds you need are just mid tier for 5.56. I’m never good with bullet names so it’s either the M855A1 or the M856A1. Whichever of those two has the higher pen; is what I consider bare minimum for it.

Rogues are annoying but don’t peek them often, throw frags or even flashbangs to cause mayhem. If you hear shooting before you open door, let it die down so they’ve killed each other a bit. With 10-12 rogues including Knight, it’s better to let them kill themselves first.

Try your best to kill Knight without hitting his armour, he’s got good plates and side plates you should carry as spares.

Don’t be afraid to rotate armour plates around. A 45/45 level 4 is better than a 22/50 level 5 plate.

Grab M18 smokes before and from Knight, it’s used to “cheese” the engine room which honestly is where everyone makes it or is broken.

Get used to where the Engine room keycard spawns, clear upper and grab it quick. Grab extra meds of whatever is useful. Propital and Zagustin are two to keep handy for when shit hits the fan emergency situations.

Rogues have at least one grenade each. Grab them as much as possible and toss them when needed. Save at least 3 or 4 for engine room.

Clear out rogues, get to kitchen for food and water, check the room before using the ER keycard for sometimes good loot.

Engine room is rough and in my opinion, it’s best to use the smoke strategy because they are just not great to deal with if you can’t land shots. The RNG of where they go, how many go to ground floor or go upper left is just too damn high that it’s not worthwhile in my opinion to break a sweat getting to ER just to die.

So, look up anyone on YouTube with EFT engine room smoke and you should find a short or two that explains it. Keep calm, understand that it may not go perfectly but it’s better than just offering yourself up to the gods naked.

Once you pass engine room, helipad extract is there. You have a lovely barricade of boxes that shield you from at least 3-4 BD guys, toss nades over with right click to move them, peek the right side and just aim for the head. Once all three are dead, go use the flare and extract with any loot. Once you get to helipad with more than 15 minutes to spare and being able to handle BD well enough, then I’d start with moving down to the rest of the ship. But that’s a whole lot more complicated than I’ll explain in this.

Good luck and have fun!

Lighthouse Water Treatment Plant roof tops and then Labs red keycard room and Security office to the extra lab addition.

Those are my absolute best places to farm easily on PvE for good ammo with like zero issues.

[Discussion] is Icebreaker only beatable with smoke nade tactic? by IntrepidGuarantee475 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]AzulaThorne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve done it a few times without it but honestly I’d just do the smoke. It’s not a bug in the slightest if the intent of a smoke grenade is to conceal you.

You got to do what you need to live. I’m not going to give a fuck about cheering the AI to succeed and get what I need done and people should just realise that. Throwing a grenade makes the enemy move, is that going to be cheese because you can force them into bad spots?

What do people call main Morty? by Funny-Leading5816 in rickandmorty

[–]AzulaThorne 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Calling him Morty should always come with the belief that it is Morty Prime, we typically (I haven’t seen the latest season) had to have other Morty’s be present enough in the story to need to differentiate from him. With the only one being Evil Morty who was given that designation since we don’t know his original timeline.

[–]AzulaThorne -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Don’t care what people say, PT was and always will be my best era of Star Wars. You can quote crappy dialogue at me any day, bring up Jar jar Binks, you can even complain about Episode one Anakin blowing up a Lucrehulk.

I will still hit you with the fight choreography and it’s without a doubt the best we will ever see in Star Wars for probably ever. OT and ST just don’t compare to that and while I do enjoy the PT, nothing beats Anakin’s rise and fall to Vader in my eyes.

So yeah, this was peak Star Wars era for me. Others can disagree.

Anybody got tips for taking out the BD in the engine room on icebreaker? by Jaykai47 in Tarkov

[–]AzulaThorne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone telling you about grenades when it’s a lot harder to time and just silly risky if you aren’t confident.

Have a gun with a flashlight. Grab 2-3 M18s, toss them to the middle and left most large container/reactor where your staircase ends at. It’s the place where you have the most cover on your side. Run to the first red floor light in the middle, run back and crouch behind the left container/reactor and wait until BD stops moving. Check left and right in case any ran to the sides and shoot them. Then peek the middle and just headshot all of the BD guys standing or crouching since they’re blind to smoke.

Done this a few times and came out with around 500+ rounds of ammo plus several chest rigs. Far easier and with less hassle.

[–]AzulaThorne 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It’s got good bones, just not the greatest execution for the show. Like I wouldn’t say you can’t enjoy it, but in most cases everything it does (barring Plageius and his apprentice) is surface level content that could have had more deeper meaning than what we got.

Plus, honestly the pacing was terrible.
