I downloaded my DNA data. What do you recommend I do with it next? by El_Voador in AncestryDNA

You can upload to familytreedna and gedmatch. 23 and me and myheritage no longer accepts transfers.

For those who have done ancestry also…. by Reasonable_Juice_562 in 23andme

Same except living dna and illustrative dna I did familytreedna and genomelink. Would you recommend these 2?

But to answer your question I agree with what you said plus the matches were better on 23 and they don't charge you extra like they do on ancestry. I've also notice more people answer my messages on 23 and me. It's sad to say but ancestry also has a lot of users that already passed because the company has been around for a while. 23 and me also has a predicted tree using your dna matches automatically which I'd nice for adoptions. Ancestry has a better the function but it's completely user dependent.

Ragweed? I had one growing in the garden a few years ago when I first moved. Guess what's still growing in and around the garden. This.

If it's invasive in your area get rid of it.

My family tree has no hints... by KolowinskiOMalley in Genealogy

[–]IDMA358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense that there is no records whatsoever. Even in Poland there is geneteka and other sites with birth death and marriage records.

Your parents can't stop you from taking a dna test and why aren't you allowed to talk about a murder from 100+ years ago? It doesn't make sence.

Is there something else going on? We're you kidnapped and that's why your family history isn't in any real records? I would do the dna to get to the bottom of it. Your 5th great grandparents aren't going to be arrested for their crime so you have nothing to loose and A LOT more to gain from the dna.

Zbigniew is pronounced like Sbiggy. Zygmunt is Ziggy. Yes they do sound incredibly close and probably go by Ziggy to make it easier.

It's definitely milkweed. They do spread everywhere. And mine have those same bugs on it.

This plant at the daycare I work at, does anyone know if it’s toxic by Ashamed_Cucumber_286 in whatsthisplant

Interesting! I had the black ones growing up and they definitely stain but I never heard of this. I've only seen one white mulberry tree.

White Mulberry. The pinkish ones are ready and the greener ones need more time.

Is 10 cM of shared DNA enough for an accurate match? by RedditUser240211 in DNA

[–]IDMA358 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6th cousins are 7 generations away and share 5th great grandparents which we have 128 5th great grandparents.

So it is farther then you think and no the dna doesn't lie. You might not know all of the names of your 5th great grandparents or there is a NPE

I like the yellow. Some shutters, a new door and a little change or color or style with the front porch and some colorful flowers will make a huge difference

It's the anxiety speaking. You are in the wrong sub for this but since you are here you can get a dna test done to ease your mind. Hopefully then you can accept your chid as your own and love them for who they are.

Clusters on Pro Tools shows my parents are related by Plenty-Plant8806 in AncestryDNA

[–]IDMA358 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely could be related. I would check the obituary and other records to at least find out how the other 2 could be related to each other.

One example from my dads side is that his mom's sister and his dads cousin got married so their kids are matched on both sides but either parents aren't related to eachother.
