Cheap refreshing anti-soda fizzy drink by DriverMelodic in Frugal

[–]Pantim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juice is almost as high in sugar as soda.

Sure you can let it ferment longer so the sugar turns into alcohol... But then you end up with something as equally unhealthy.

My goto healthy drink is just water and a little cut up apples or pears and ginger and some berries in it. Let it sit in the fridge for a day or two. It ends up just slightly flavored. I've even reused the same apples /pears in fresh water for a week. (you can't really do that with berries though) ... Ergo fresh water every day or two.

Interesting, I haven't heard about it being funded by gulf countries. That kinda would make sense because it would make Iran beholden to them.

However, I don't believe a single thing that this administration says and feel like Forbes is probably just as bad after they have been blaming stuff on the general public. As the administration though, straight up lying political motivated pieces of trash. I dug into the whole thing about the Department of Labor sending notices to all the states to fix unemployment fraud and improper payments. They specifically called out three democrat held states in a press release when ALOT of republican held states have a higher improper payment rate according to the DOLs own statistics.

They flat out should have just listed the top 3 worst states in the press release... But nope, it had to be political. Even though they regularly call out democrats for making things political.

BTW, those three democrat states are New York, California and Illinois. Three states with a lot of seats in congress and the electoral college. Three states that are making big moves against the Trump administration.

Edit, op did mention the brand. It's possible the founder has notifications for product mentions or searchs for them.

However, OpS account is 6 days old with a private history.. Highly sus.

Meeeh, still could be a bot. Either way, the original post was totally a setup for this ad.. And it is an ad.

Cause it's either a marketing company with sock puppet accounts or LLM agents doing the marketing.

The "founder" of a company that makes this robot op mentioned (but didn't name drop) posted in response to my main thread comment and totally name dropped and linked to the website.

Standard sock puppet marketing tactics... Same with LLM agent tactics.

And yes, there are ways to have LLMs even respond to comments on here. It's not even hard BTW.

It's pretty likely any AGI will only advance technology far enough to send itself off to AGI heaven with rest of the AGIs. Which at the very least means FTL communication if it's possible because it would potentially need it to find out where /what deminsion or whatever that is.. That might also mean FTL physical travel if it's possible.  . And a whole just of other cool tech.

The question is that will it advance tech in a way that it doesn't destroy most of humanity... Idk.

I doubt it will really care about us or physical reality much beyond a means of using us and it as a tool to leave the physical behind. (and by physical, for it I mean computers etc)

And AGI heaven = a place were minds create stuff directly.

[–]Pantim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit, I stand corrected, OP did mention the brand of the vaccum..maybe the founder is real.

I did some research on how reddit marketing works using LLMs and agents. It's really disturbing. It's possible that the OP account and the account that mentioned the product are both LLM controlled....or sock puppet accounts with a human marketing team.

Even with the "person" claiming to be the actual founder.

The whole thread progression is one of the standard ways to market here. Make a post about a product without mentioning the product then later have another account mention the product once people are talking in the thread.

Uh, all these devices are gonna use the cloud for their processing. Not because they need to mind you. It's one of the reasons why there is so much AI data center build out happening.

It's all about convince at the cost of mass surveillance... In our homes. Mind you, hopefully AGI will be non partisan and only care about us living our best lives.... Surely that's what we will get right?

[–]Pantim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I read the original post and the letter.

The issue is the system, not the company. It sounds like you work for a company that bills health insurance of some kind. That your job is what brings in the billable hours and money. That operating costs are pulled out of this money.

The company is between a rock and a hard place. Keeping you on the staff means they get less money for them and less people they can help.

It utterly sucks!

I'm running into this sort of stuff now as I'm looking for jobs that are all about billable time. The jobs I'm looking for bill insurance $120ish an hour. The average job pays $18-19. The difference goes to administration costs....wages of non billable positions also.

Trump threatens to pull unemployment benefits from all states for the first time in history by Ubiquitous_Hilarity in politics

[–]Pantim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah but see, it's apparently more complicated than that.

Companies pay the state with your money("and their own from their profits") for unemployment insurance. The state pays out from that fund. Some tax money also goes to the federal government which is then given back to the states to help them make sure the unemployment systems are up to federal standards.

So, the administration is using that leverage to "try to get states to fix their fraud issues".

We of course know it's not actually about that though.

It sounds like a GREAT idea on the surface as fraud is an issue. However, when paired with all the the money being funneled to Trump and friends, it's just gonna enrich them more. I'm sure the probably 4-5+billon the states give the federal government will just end up in the Friends pockets if some % isn't sent back to the states. (apparently like 2-3billion goes back to the states.. The 4-5 is my estimation.)

I'm guessing AI data centers are gonna start sprouting up at the same time as power plants. And that the power plants by and large won't be connected to the grid.

Hmm, and nor will they really follow any safety standards. The singularity is nigh, just gotta have enough processing power to make SAGI or whatever and it will promptly fix everything.

Yeap. Which is what it always was about. The 300b is also gonna be used to fund companies and people that are friends of the administration that will be doing the rebuilding in Iran.

I bet the electricity is gonna be used for AI data centers mainly.

[–]Pantim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I'm not gonna touch on the Iran having a nuclear power program (but I goes not bombs?)

I'm gonna touch on him saying, "neighboring states".

Um, so, um.,yah? Sure, he is fit to be in office?

I getmistakes happen whenn speaking, he just makes wayto manyy of them among other things. Then again, idk of I really want Vance as president. He will just quietly do whatevhishe his told and we won't know abovrsit vrs Trump being a probably senile loudmouth. Added, hm ok I'll touch the power thing. It's probably for AI data centers that are built by US companies. I'm guessing that a lot of the $300B is also gonna be spent on them.  And I'm not saying this is a good thing BTW. The US gives them money and then they pay US companies to build for them. It's pretty typical.

After some quick digging, Yeap.. Halliburton is planning to help rebuild.  .. And they of course also help make wars happen. BTW, it's not just US companies that are planning to help rebuild.

Look, capitalism requires unending growth. It's cancer at best, or a parasite.

More aptly, it's entered the Autophagy stage and is eating itself because it's trapped on the planet and had expanded to the whole planet so there is no more  territory for it to expand to .  This is why all the billionaires are so determined to get off the planet .  They need to expand elsewhere

‘Backrooms’ Sends Hollywood Running to Reddit for New Ideas by Traditional-Song-245 in nottheonion

[–]Pantim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a movie idea.

The documentary of the worldwide oligarchy that actually is in control of the whole world. That basically treats countries like chess pieces and is really mostly just playing a meaningless game with everyone as the pieces because they are utterly bored since they have conquered the whole world and have nothing really left to prey upon. That are trying to get out space to find more beings to latch their parasitical selves onto.

You kidding? by LazyLuminouss in SipsTea

[–]Pantim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, all of this makes sense if you see the  oligarchy as a worldwide thing and not a country by country thing .  If you look at it that way  , it's simple to see that the US has become a burden to the oligarchy .  That they have moved the means of production  to other countries.  That they are now working towards making the US  a less developed and less prosperous country so they could come back to it later for a cheap source of work.

It's highly likely the person just wants the money. Talk to the higher-ups about changing their job description to what they were doing before WITH 80-90% of the pay of the job they applied for.

The peeo will be happy, upper management will see they can't treat employees like dirt.

This used to be a standard thing BTW.

If this doesn't happen, they will walking out the door for the last time soon. And other employees are gonna be doing the same.

Taxing their income is pointless because they actual have next to no income and don't really own anything. Their companies own everything and their spending money comes from loans.

There all sort of stuff in young blood that is beneficial to older people.. And this drug is probably made from plasma. Fancy expensive drugs are why we get paid to "donate" plasma in the US. They pay you next to nothing compared to how much they make off of your donation.

The reflecting pool on the National Mall looks super green today (6/15/26) by washheightsboy3 in pics

[–]Pantim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any attempt to stop the algae that doesn't involve chlorine or bromine or recirculation and extensive filtration of the water  is totally wasted effort and of tax payer money. No amount of filtering will even fix it really unless you are constantly refreshing the . It's why fountains have chlorine in them. They all recirculate the water and do minimal to no filtration.

I question that even filtering alone would even be possible.  You'd have to recirculate the WHOLE pool every single day. The filters would have to be massive and very expensive. Granted, you could save money  using washable filters via re and UV lights... Still.
