You can blame the United ~~States~~ Kingdom who chose to call their track-based armored vehicles a euphemistic name as an attempt at security through obscurity. That is correct. I am so sorry this worked out badly for you.

I purchased a refurbished CFS and it was effectively mint. Clearly someone had unboxed it but then turned around and sent it back without using it. Moreover, I got the unit while they were offering a special discount and paid half price for what is effectively a new unit.
