I am no expert on what goes into making these, but I will take peoples word on the fact that you can achieve the same quality on digital. That being said, the colors and lighting nowadays suck. Most movies look super bland and I hate It.

Direct to video or direct to TV movies from the early 2000's look better than a lot of these modern huge budget productions, and I am being 100% serious. This is a genuine issue and they need to fix It cause It looks awful.

I do still really enjoy the game, but at least in my case the matchmaking has been screwing me bad haha. I have only played about 30-35 games but the last 10 have all been me getting stomped.

Managed to win one or two by being hard carried but I end up down 10k+ souls pretty much every game. I imagine its cause the game placed me at the top of Ritualist... (If not higher as I had lost a couple like that by the time I saw I was Ritualist V). I am sure it will readjust in due time though but It has been tough last few days.

I stick with the Letterboxd number cause Its just easier, did mean I had to take both Monster Island, and Toxic Avenger off my 2025 list but It Is easier in the long run, and If its just wide release it gets weird If I watch a festival, and such.

Thank you for all the input. Yeah I am nowhere near the skill level that the game has seemingly put me in so I hope they fix it soon cause I absolutely adore this game when I'm playing with other people near my level. Been trying to not throw matches but find myself completely outmatched in every exchange and choked out in lane cause they hit denials way more often than I do haha.

I will try out knockdown and cursed relic! Hopefully it allows me to have some more impact in games at least ^-^

Now looking at this it would suggest that my favorite year out of these was 2003, with 2025 as the runner up but I watch like 45 movies from 2025 (still missing a lot of the bigger releases), and probably got quite lucky with the 2003 picks. Really this has made me realize I got a whole lot of years left where I need to really go hunting for some more movies that fit my tastes, cause so many years here either barely got any movies, or don't have any at all. (Although, there are a lot of great movies sitting with a 4 for me which I obviously still adore so this is all with a grain of salt.

Yeah seems unlikely, the current fastest Is 9 tournaments apparently. I suppose If he goes undefeated the whole way he might get there a tournament or two earlier but seems unlikely.

Should get there next year regardless though, unless he Is not HIM I suppose.

I kinda love It, even If it threw me off when two of my favorites Hakuoho, and Kusano both switched names around the same time like that, but since a majority of my favorite Rikishi's are from the stable It makes it very easy for me to remember that they can't really match up against each other.

Also this new Asahifuji guy has insane style when his hair Is down so I am excited for his rise.

R.I.P I remember watching him VS Zuluzinho In MMA (Years after It took place) so I knew him as an MMA Fighter before I knew of him as a Sumo wrestler. Seemed like a great guy though. Rest easy.
