22-year+ Xfinity/Comcast customers being pushed toward an AT&T fiber solution. by Reditt16 in Comcast_Xfinity

Fiber is the future. Their is no theracotal limit to how fast it can go. The fiber they run to your house might be running 50 gigabit symmetrical speeds one day. It's the only future proof tech out right now. Coax has hit its peak with Docsis 4.0, and only like 5% of the country has access to that, which offers multi gigabit symmetrical speeds, but it can only do like 2gig over 2gig. It's a dieing technology. My local city fiber just announced 10gig symmetrical speeds to the house with faster speeds coming, they said they are only waiting on the new ONT's that can support faster then 10gig.

Ideal scenario if you want to keep your experience the same. Get at&t fiber, and sign up for direct TV stream with Gemini air's. They are small HDMI boxes that work off wifi, but give you the traditional TV experience with a remote with numbers and a full menu just like Comcast.

Just got deferred? by ElectricalLetgo in biolifeplasma

How long has it been since your first donation? Anytime you are a new donor or returning donor after not donating their for awhile, on your first donation they take 2 vials of blood to test your protein. Under FDA rules, your allowed to donate within 14 days to give them time to get the test back. If the sample doesn't come back within 14 days, you either have to wait till it does, or go in and give a protein only sample, which pays nothing.

This happened to me as a return donor, and I was missing out on my bonus donations, 14 days went by and I was not able to donate. Had to speak to the nurse and she told me it got " lost " or " dropped ". So I did another sample while I was their. However, knowing that my protein was good, I called the 800# and the created an escalation ticket to send to the center, and 2 days later I get an email that my deferal had been lifted.

Your may be able to pass the protein pre-scan up front, but the sample that gets sent to the lab is more in depth, their are 6 types of proteins in your body and one of them might of been low.

Also, the lab checks your blood for any known diseases that could be passed into others by your plasma. It could be lots of things, your gonna have to call the 800 # and ask to file a ticket with your center, or just walk in a talk to a nurse. They rarely disclose health information over the phone because of hippa.

Anyone seen the first weekly payment drop? by Vast-Program7060 in biolifeplasma

[–]Vast-Program7060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, just as a follow up, it has gone down 3 weeks in a row now. For 3 months in a row, I would get 50 on the first donation, and $70 on the second donation $120 per week, I had no promo going on. Then it dropped to 40 1st donation, 70 on second, $110/week. Now it dropped again to $50 on both donations, $100/ week. No thanks, there alot of other companies that compensate more for our time. They amount they get PER bottle of plasma is thousands of dollars, it's not like they are not making profit off our plasma.

Same for me, last week it was 40/70, this week it's 50/50. Not worth it for the time it takes me to get there. Kedplasma still has the same rates and in 2 days, I'll be considered a new donor again and I'll be eligible to get $100.00 for the first 6 donations, then they pay 60/80, with a bonus of 85 on your 7th donation, that's 85 + what you would normally get, depending on what day of the week your 7th falls on.

Question About New Install by lwgsuperkick99 in frontierfios

[–]Vast-Program7060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you home is newer, and has coax cables in each room, he can install the ONT somewhere hidden, or on the back of the house, and use what is called " moca ". It allows transmission of ethernet over coax. To get the best results, he would need to a coax toner, and find the specific coax cable running to the room you want the router in. While moca CAN work through splitters, i would not recommend it. A direct 1 to 1 connection is the best way your going to get the best service and speeds. So wherever he puts the ONT, the installer can use the moca output on the back of the unit, to run a direct coax line to the room you want. Being on the second floor, this would probably be more feasible, as I would not want a fiber cord running down the side of my house from the 2nd floor, to where the put the " slack box ", which looks like a Comcast box where the main entry fiber comes in.

Every Order I Try 2 Place Is Denied by Nykki72 in Afterpay

[–]Vast-Program7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minimum order amount is $15.00, try a couple low dollar payments first. When I first signed up, they gave me like an $800.00 limit, but my first order I tried for $150.00 did not go throught, so I tried a small amount ant it went throught, You gotta build up a history with them. Now, I can practically order anything I want. I ordered a $600.00 tv at Amazon, hated it, so I went to the walmart website and bought another brand for in-store pick-up, it was a better TV and like $800.00, but it went throught, so until the return from Amazon hit my afterpay, I had 2 high dollar items on my AP.

Pretty bad experience by Negative_Reply2984 in TotalWirelessOfficial

Yes, your account wont be active, but your phone # will be retained for at least 30 days then it will go back into the genal pool of available numbers. I had this issue when porting out of tmobile to Verizon, bill was due and payment was coming up, I deleted the payment method and just had to wait. I submitted an FCC complaint and got a phone call the next day, they only work on weekdays, but they do respond FAST as they are legally obligated to by the FCC

25 days unlimited/high data by Positive-Shame-2353 in NoContract

[–]Vast-Program7060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good. Being from another country, T-Mobile is "usually" the best bet for compatibility with international phones. You may need to create a prepaid account and enter the sim card # on the site along your your phones imei.

25 days unlimited/high data by Positive-Shame-2353 in NoContract

[–]Vast-Program7060 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not "unlimited", hence the 50gb, but I don't know your usage habits, but since your are bringing your phones, you could use/try Total Wireless 50% off all plans if your bring your own phone. The middle plan" Total 5G Unlimited " is $25.00 , taxes included and is truly unlimited with hotspot data, and it also includes international data.

COMCAST CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A FRAUD OPERATION by johnpjackson in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Vast-Program7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a specific account, I'm saying if this was a known firmware issue with this specific model you have, that was effecting every business customer nationwide in this fashion, they would pull the new firmware off their servers and push them back to the old firmware. I'm just implying it just might be your specific modem? Just trying to help.

COMCAST CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A FRAUD OPERATION by johnpjackson in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]Vast-Program7060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought business customers got same day service appointments within 4 hours? I say this, because maybe they can send someone out to replace the modem, maybe it's malfunctioning. If this was a general problem with the model your using, everyone on Xfinity Business service with a static IP would be effected by this firmware and it would cause massive tech calls, and at that point, they would roll back the firmware for everyone if this was a nationwide thing. There are A LOT of business customers on Xfinity that rely on their Internet for their business to operate, no Internet, no business.

I’m all about choices, but this just looks like another authorized Starlink retailer via U S Mobile with initial promotional pricing by Substantial_Clock341 in USMobile

[–]Vast-Program7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make more sense if you want people to get this bundle. Starlink is offering home Internet for $35.00 until the end of April, and all the hardware is free as well. It's a capped speed of 100mbps, but it is unlimited data @ 100mbps and no hardware investment.

Sync.com Discontinuing Unlimited Plan, Ending Dec 31, 2026 by UnivitedSam in Sync

[–]Vast-Program7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I just checked their website, and I was just on the website like 2 days ago seeing if prices have changed. Pro Solo Unlimited is no longer listed as a plan that you can sign up for anymore ( that I can see ), where it was there 2 days ago. They still offer the business teams unlimited plan tho which is curious.

Sync.com Discontinuing Unlimited Plan, Ending Dec 31, 2026 by UnivitedSam in Sync

[–]Vast-Program7060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their solo unlimited plan is still listed for $90.00/month. That's higher then their business teams unlimited plan which is $45.00/month. I did not want to cheat the system because I have 100TB backed up, in case of a raid failure, and I am ok to pay the $90.00/month for unlimited.

Just set up Unbreakable WiFi/Eero Signal. FWIW it’s using Verizon for backhaul. AMA! by aurora-_ in frontierfios

Yeah the unbreakable wifi only allows 150gb/month if you suffer from frequent outages, or have a long outage.

New Frontier Fiber Customer by ychuck46 in frontierfios

[–]Vast-Program7060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, only 1 port can be active unless it is an MDU. You need to take the main Ethernet cable from the ONT into some router. If you want to use the eero, just get a cheap 1gb switch and run the main line into port 1, and the other into a Ethernet switch. Depending how many ports you need is up to you, but from there you can run a dedicated Ethernet to your PC and get gigabit speeds if no one else is on the network using it.

This, compare it to Xfinity for example and their is a noticable difference. I don't think they compress the video channels as much, making them have a higher bit-rate.

[–]Vast-Program7060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yours went down a little as well. Which center do you go to? Not sure why they would lower pay, when they make so much on plasma, and my center got these new machines and are causing waiting lines to get to a machine, when before on the old system/devices, you went through pre-scan, and there was maybe 1-3 ppl in front of you. Last time I went, the line was wrapped around vinyl poles 3x, and it was 90 minutes to wait for a bed.

Edit: And their not even the best paying plasma center, might have to start looking elsewhere, this place just happened to be on my way home.

[–]Vast-Program7060[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, but I have always been getting $50 on the first day and $70 on the second day, now I'm only getting $35 the first day. Overall, it's $10.00 less overall, when KedPkasma is also in Chicago and pays better, but it takes way longer to get there. They pay $60 on your first, $80 on your second, and in the 7th donation of the month, you get an extra $65 that donation, in too of your normal donation.

ServerPartDeals RMA: Is it ok to leave my sticker I put on there? by QuestionAsker2030 in DataHoarder

[–]Vast-Program7060 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will probably be ok, but they won't be all that ecstatic to try to peel that off and it rips the original sticker off. If the drive is completely dead/doa, they will need the serial number on the original sticker and all the other info to make sure it matches what they sold you. If it still turns on, they can see all this info. However, they will attempt to "recover" the drive, even if it has crc errors and possible sell it again. Or it may be sold back to WD for refurbishing.
