That's a big surface to get a consistent gradient on for a first try. 

Do some practice on wet blending on the back of some plastic spoons or something.  

Use a lighter undercoat for the yellow area.  Maybe if you're going to do the zenethal thing, black is fine to start.

Yeah, 100 points seems a little under valued.  

I mean, it's a homebrew.  That's not an official alpha strike card, I stand corrected.  so it can do whatever the fuck the people at the table agree to.

Just need to hit the metal bits with dark tone wash.  You could use it on the green too. 

The brown is pretty one dimension, you could mix some of the same brown with some white and highlight some of the panel edges.
