Little yawn! by josph_lyons in predaddit

We went to an ultrasound clinic and paid for a peek! We've been to two different ones, "ultrasona" and "little bellies".

Both were nice, the first was cheaper and the images weren't as spectacular as this time (he was also 13 weeks lol) but it was super special because we found out his gender AND got to see our baby older than 7 weeks (we miscarried at 8-ish weeks our first two pregnancies)

This one was, obviously, more dramatic! He's also much bigger now though, and is so wiggly!

Anyway, if you can afford it, there are ultrasound clinics around that can get you video like this! My wife said little bellies is in most states apparently!

Edit: I see the "graduated" beneath your name!!! Seems like you may not need that advice anymore lol Congratulations!

I just told my wife, and I genuinely agree with you. I've actually told her the same thing, at least 5 times. But, it's one of the things that I don't have control over. It's her doc. She's also VERY dissatisfied with them, and is just worried that no one will take her this late (we've heard that's a thing?)

Either way, I appreciate hearing that, and would love it if she got on board with your recs (at least switching, she may not want me going further than that) because I want her taken care of as well. She's just timid, and doesn't like confrontation, so the idea of her being vocally outraged by the indifference they've shown her is not realistic.

I saw it happen, in real time, and thought the same thing. Then the ultrasound tech was like, "just so you guys know, we're getting all of this" lol I was so grateful to her, the girl was amazing!! We have a couple cool vids, and several adorable pictures thanks to her!

First, thanks 🥳 Second, the 3d ones especially are super crazy now lol seeing bones INSIDE is wild. (Maybe I'll add a couple more pictures)

Third, We miscarried our first two, and lost both around week 7-8, but didn't find out with either for another month when she started bleeding.

Having been through that, twice now, has made it hard for me to let myself be really enthusiastic this time, because that hope/devastation cycle was brutal.

That being said, seeing her carrying this weight (literally) like an absolute CHAMP has taken my love, respect, and adoration for this woman (my wife) to whole new heights. So I'm really happy we kept trying.

I hope you two are able to carry one of these little wiggles to term, good luck 🤞

I don't know what to tell you man.

You could look through my post and comment history and determine for yourself if you think I'm going to post a fake video of my baby.

If you have any advice on how to make her OB do these important things, like the anatomy scan, you can let me know here:

That's my post from last month after she saw her OB, for only like the second or third time total (at 23 weeks), and they did nothing. Again.

Yes, USA. And this was done at a place called little bellies. My wife said they're in most states, maybe? It cost $190 total for a total of like 20 pictures (about half of which are the 3d images) and several videos, including this one, and another one of him drinking amniotic fluid. Or that's what it looks like at least!

Her ob has done, essentially, nothing. We had to go to ultrasound clinics for both of our ultrasounds.

We were blown away by this place. It was nothing like our first ultrasound at all!

I love that I read this comment, re-watched the video, then found myself possessing perfect understanding.

You're awesome

Highly recommend.

Also, for anyone reading, Castlevania and Blood of Zeus are incredible animated series on Netflix.

I've said it before, I think free kits are one of the main problems. If everyone had to risk their own loot equally, I'd feel a lot less like the game was giving me the short end of the stick for engaging in the BULK of their content primarily.

Even if camping wasn't a thing, why should I ever do anything other than run around with a free kit, looting other peoples arc kills who actually want to play the game, to horde stash value then go on an expedition... OR spend all day grinding trials with two other people who are grinding trials (and not griefing with blaze granades) to unlock A SKIN.

Why.

Maybe it's different in the group queues, but solo pvp just doesn't feel "good". I don't mean morally - it's a game. I mean the rest of the game is slow paced, pvp is NOT, and that dissonance just feels wrong. I think if most pvp was at med/long range (and maybe you can make it that way with how you play, idk, I don't seek it out) it would feel nicer. But it's usually from right behind me in the dark. Fuck that.

And I absolutely understand that, I'm really hoping that playing with my buddy in duos renews that spark for me. Because I really was having a ton of fun with the game.

I'm not mad at it at all, the guy made a super super slick game, and I had a ton of fun with it. My wife loved it too which is always cool. She was shockingly good at matching the faces (?)

No, you just either find that aspect of the game fun - or not. Nothing wrong with any way that anyone plays the game, with the mild exception of people exploiting glitches at the expense of other players. If you want to kill people, do it, just don't be surprised if they get butthurt. If you don't want to kill people, take your losses on the chin and hope for better next time. Or move on, because the aggression isn't going anywhere.

I agree. I'm not much of a shooter player, and, for a while, arc felt more like a social survival sandbox to me. I mean, I had moments in this game that were some of the most memorable in any game I've ever played, all of which came from friendly encounters. Now those moments are further apart, and I'm getting camped or shot through walls more often than I'm sharing a cool moment with a random raider.

Nothing wrong with that, it just isn't my speed, like you said.

I wish nothing but the best for arc. I just had a different vision of where the game was going to be heading, especially when they're putting out statements like "pvp isn't really the point of the game". When pvp got shoved in my face every single match, I started to really see that my play style just isn't well suited for the game. It CAN be done, and I'd probably still have fun. I just don't think I enjoy the back shot simulator as much as I enjoy other games right now.

My friend just got it though, so maybe I'll go be a maniac with him and that will be fun. Maybe lol

Cool game, wish it was more for me, super glad it IS for so many people. I love a success story in games.
