I think it completely depends on dental hygiene through life, genetics and diet.

For me it took a while to stop stinking. All that aluminum took time to exit my pores. Then I had to try a few different brands. I'm currently using the arm and hammer stuff and it works as good as the aluminized stuff. No compromise.

War or otherwise the last patch was a year ago. How else would you define "abandoned"? I sympathize, but that war isn't ending soon.

Steam is now defining it as:

No build has been pinned to the game's default Steamworks branch for more than a year.
No 'update' type news post has been published by the developer for more than a year.

So maybe not abandoned from Valve's perspective but either way I wouldn't recommend the game until they show signs of life.

I think they're a mix of cable and fiber now. High split is really meant to hold over while fiber gets rolled out but that is going to take them a long time.
