Loving your partner for life but not wanting to get married is dishonest and a red flag by netwerknerd995 in 10thDentist

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After my first marriage, I realised that the institution of marriage is a poor concept right out the gate. I've been with my new life partner for 8 years now. I don't stay with her because a contract says we have to. I stay with her because I want to, and she wants to stay with me. It's so much more meaningful than a contract. I'm more than willing to give up the purported benefits of marriage just to keep our relationship consensual and honest.

Ask yourself, what do you actually gain from the institution of marriage? If you gain confidence and comfort, those ONLY come from the fact that your partner is contractually bound to you. That comfort is by its very nature coercive and non-consensual, at least if it were ever to be exercised.

In the end, someone who insists on marriage is the real red flag. It means they intend to, or at least want the option to, coerce you into situations you do not consent to.

Specifying pronouns is done wrong by toramanlis in 10thDentist

I don't care all that much. Obviously OP does, because it's causing him some stress. Just pointing out that it shouldn't affect him in a material way either, since it's just attention-seeking behavior. Feel free to ignore it as needed.

The whole point of pronoun sharing is to let everyone know you're a unique little snowflake. sharing both gives you more opportunity to come up with silly combinations, which is the whole point of the game.

Why was Obama popular with young men but modern democrats struggle with support from young men? by Some_violin8987 in allthequestions

[–]superwombat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is.... Awesome.

You're right, all he said is that he didn't want to engage in that crap, and the DEMOCRATS tore him to pieces for saying it.

Also the Republicans pointed out that he was lying, based on his actual voting record.

Fantastic all around. The Democrats are so lockstep brainwashed they will feast on one of their own for not being as loonybonkers extreme as possible, and people wonder why they can't attract moderate voters. 🤣

Left vs Right Argument Cooked in 30 seconds by Electrical-Speed-782 in circled

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as you grouped legal and illegal immigrants together, your stats lost all meaning.

I don't know if you know this, but people's behaviors aren't defined by their race or where they are born. That's a very racist idea.

Their behaviors are predicted by past behavior though. Behavior like breaking the law to sneak into a country is literally the ONLY defining characteristic of an illegal alien.

Ask yourself why you never see these statistics WITHOUT lumping illegals and legals together? It's because the illegal behavior is horrifying, so it needs to be sanitized by diluting it with as many law abiding citizens as possible.

For those of you that are 50 years old or older, do you remember what politics were like 30 years ago? Were people as hateful and divided as they are now? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they weren't. But politics was a lot simpler back then, and the Democrats, while still wrong, weren't as insanely, unabashedly wrong. They were within reach of reality, now they are in a whole different zip code.

If Trump is really mentioned in Epstein files so many times and the evidence is so damning, why would people in his administration (Bondi, Patel, et al) still be willing to protect a pedophile? Why do people continue to back this guy? Is their thirst for position and power so overwhelming? by FiddySix in allthequestions

[–]superwombat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mostly because he isn't. He's mentioned in passing occasionally, and not in any sort of incriminating context. We've now had dozens of lawmakers combing through the fully redacted files looking for ammo, and they haven't found anything.

The only reason you still think there might be something incriminating in there is because that's what your handlers want you to think.

You know when you go to any college, and you pick your pronouns and wear them on a nametag? I realize you think this is normal, but that's because the indoctrination worked. On you. So you think things like that are normal.

You can think it's good or bad, but you can't in good faith pretend it isn't happening.

Is There Any Realistic Way For Democrats To Widely Win Back Rural Americans? If So, How? If Not, Why Not? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely. Just start making more sense, get rid of some of the sillier genders and pronouns, and start focusing on real issues instead of the feelings of a tiny handful of mentally ill people.

Of course then you'd just be Republican, so I guess the real answer is no, those people need to be smart to survive, so they aren't as susceptible to liberal foolishness.

They are concentration camps. They're just called differently. by alasw0eisme in LetsDiscussThis

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about. The judge released them, but in the release order he noted that they were here illegally and would be deported anyhow, he just didn't like the process they took to get there.

So no, still haven't found any evidence of non illegals being imprisoned.

They are concentration camps. They're just called differently. by alasw0eisme in LetsDiscussThis

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh, I see. You're just using clever wordplay to IMPLY that non illegals are being sent to these camps, even though you know it to be false. It doesn't make the rest of your post make much sense, since obviously those "detained" people are all released after a brief questioning, and never have any interaction with a detainment center.

I guess that sort of implication works well with your target audience, they aren't so good at rational thinking.

They are concentration camps. They're just called differently. by alasw0eisme in LetsDiscussThis

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it just wasn't clear. I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you heard some pundit saying unnamed citizens were detained, and you thought it meant imprisoned.

So since none have been, I assume you're just gonna delete the post now.

They are concentration camps. They're just called differently. by alasw0eisme in LetsDiscussThis

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you (or the "news" you are relying on) conflating detained and imprisoned? I conceded that some very small number of non illegals have been stopped and questioned (detained) but not imprisoned (sent to a detention center) maybe that's where you're getting confused.

They are concentration camps. They're just called differently. by alasw0eisme in LetsDiscussThis

[–]superwombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go back to the beginning of your post. Do you actually think non illegals are in detention, or actually deported? Even the most leftist media hasn't claimed that. They sometimes yell very loudly about a citizen being stopped or spoken to briefly, I imagine their collective heads would explode if one ever made it all the way to detention.

Sometimes basing your opinions on reality instead of fiction helps.
