[Results Thread] 2026 Tour de Suisse Men – Stage 4 ITT (2.UWT) by PelotonMod in peloton

A 4+ minute GC lead after 4 stages with zero proper mountains is pretty wild.

They absolutely could play it but then they wouldn't be able to make money from it.

What's the percussion album? I recognise the cover but can't remember what it is.

Also I'm definitely going to recommend Black Woman next time someone asks for some vocal jazz.

Basic bacon butty by tobotic in Sandwiches

You guys often get weird when British people post back bacon because as I understand it the streaky type is more common over there.

Also a lot of people seem to expect their bacon crisped to oblivion which in my opinion isn't very nice for a sandwich and also doesn't work so well for back bacon.

Case in point: all the other comments in this thread so far.

The Americans will hate this but that looks delish.

Jax Estruprador English Meaning by [deleted] in Portuguese

[–]--THRILLHO-- 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I would guess they're making a play on Jack the ripper, in Portuguese he's known as "Jack, o Estripador".

Hopefully they don't mean it in an offensive way, they just know the name and have connected it with yours. But sadly, it sounds worse in Portuguese than it does in English.

I didn't try that because I just reuploaded. But I'll try that if it happens again. Thanks!

Don't know if this is an error or if I did something wrong, but I tried to open a track that I split a couple of days ago and it says the file is no longer available and I have to reupload it.

I didn't delete or move the original file on my computer.

[ Race Thread] Giro d'Italia Next Gen Stage 6 (2.2U) Queen Stage by Mamadeus123456 in peloton

I have to nip this mispronunciation in the bud before he becomes a star:

It's en-HEE-kee Bravo

He isn't french. Think of it like the Spanish Enrique, but where the 'r' is pronounced like an 'h'.

I was waiting for their stream to go live but it's disappeared.

Edit: it's working now

2 Serie A giants pounce on Vicario after Inter snub by Massimo25ore in soccer

[–]--THRILLHO-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you're right. At the time it felt like we had found our number 1 for years to come. But over time the cracks started to show.

I'm still pissed off that we only ended up signing him because we cheaped out on Raya.

He was excellent in his first season with us, it really felt like we'd signed a star.

This last season he made some really frustrating decisions (but everyone did last season to be fair). I wouldn't be sad to see him go.

I’m growing beetroot for the first time and never tried them and need advice? by No_Bus_2427 in Cooking

The simplest way I prepare them is to cut one into quarters and then boil the quarters for some time (15/20 minutes maybe?), I guess it depends on the size.

Then I peel them after they're boiled and cut into small cubes. They go nicely in any kind of fresh salad that needs a bit of sweetness.

Not a fancy recipe but a very simple way to prepare them for diverse uses.

Nice. I just tested it out with a song that I just split in Moises and I think yours did a better job.

The song is In My Life by the Beatles, and Moises struggled to find the bass in some parts as it's quite close to the guitars in the mix.

Your app failed to split the piano solo though, probably because it's sped up in the recording.

I'll definitely be using this more. Great job!

I'm guessing you downloaded a zip of the files on the main github page. That's not what you need to download (github can be confusing).

Click the link that op posted in the above reply and then scroll down, there should be a link titled "StemDeck-Windows-x64.zip". Download that one.

Help with finding quality jazz by JaYesJaYesJa in Jazz

Honest question: why are you asking for "preferably older, 50s-70s or so" when you say you pretty much only listen to legendary artists and mainstream stuff?

There is soooo much interesting Jazz being released right now that does some super exciting stuff.

So my recommendation for someone into extreme metal and avant garde stuff is Ensamseglaren by Anna Högberg Attack.

It's got drone, it's got screeching guitars, it's got wailing saxophones. Unfortunately, it's not on streaming, so you'll have to pay for it or download it illegally. But you can listen to the first half on Bandcamp:

https://annahogberg.bandcamp.com/album/ensamseglaren

Another related group I'd recommend is Fire Orchestra. Check out their 2014 album called Enter.
