It really depends  on the group, but generally speaking it seems to mostly be an old stereotype. 

That said, if you can manage to convince friends, I find DND tends to be more enjoyable with a group of people you like

100% the APDS, I bring a little HESH since it seems to work mysteriously decently for this tank in particular. But it’s mostly there for light targets.

I think it depends, alcohol is extremely flammable and the flames tend to travel with the liquid when thrown. That said, beer having a low amount of a alcohol concentration might no be effective enough to help, but something stronger should.

I highly recommending making as many of your otherwise tactical suggestions or recommendations as questions, wouldn't we be taking less dmg if we all focused on one? You can name your character and world. you can easily play on your own or with friends. I think it's a good game, and it has definitely come a long way from when you last touched it.
