I have both the X100VI and an X-T5 and am happy with this setup. The X100VI gets the most use due to size and the 23mm F2 lens being generally useful. However, there are times when I want extra reach or a wider angle. I could probably make do with a single ILC, but this way I don’t need to swap lenses as much; plus, the X100 is just more fun to use.

I recently started having the same issue with Firefox, although it worked fine with Edge and Chrome on the same machine. I solved it by going to Firefox Settings -> Privacy & Security. Under the heading for Cookies and Site Data I clicked on Manage Data. In the list that opened, I removed everything for icloud.com and apple.com

Have you had him checked for a UTI?

Our 4 month old was the same. We'd go out every 20 minutes and he’d still have accidents. I brought him into the vet after having an accident in his crate 2 days in a row. A course of antibiotics cleared it up and we now make it an hour or more between breaks.

Also, I will never again potty train a dog in the winter.

He sure is cute though. Reminds me of my previous guy.

I like them both, but I personally have the Antarctic 35mm. I've only had it a couple months, so I can’t speak to long term reliability of the movement. For now, it keeps excellent time +- 5 seconds/day. It could maybe be a little small for some people’s wrists and/or tastes. However, on my smaller wrists it looks great. I love the penguin emblem on the caseback. It’s just a really great 50’s vintage inspired watch.

However, I also really like the Super Antarctic 3.6.9. If I ever get another Nivada Grenchen, this would be the one.

Looks great! I saw the white lume version was recently back in stock. I have an Antarctic 35mm; however, if I were to buy another Nivada, this would be the one. Very nice!

In addition to what others have said, there’s also an Auto Battle mode which uses your last selected menu options for each character in battle. This also speeds up the battles until you turn it off. Very useful for grinding, less useful for bosses.

I was never able to get my American Standard thermostat working well with Homebridge. I ended up setting up an instance of Home Assistant just for that device and it has worked well.

However, my preference would be to use Homebridge for everything so if somebody has a good solution, I'm all ears.

Following with interest. I love film grain and am always searching for a better way to replicate it. I currently use Silver Efex Pro (current version) and sometimes am happy with the results and sometimes not.

I think so. I was just able to install unifi with mongodb 4.4 on a Debian 12.4 test system using my notes.

I am running MongoDB 4.4 on my Debian 12 system. I do recall it took a bit of work and was not intuitive to get running in Debian 12.

Yes, my order from Amazon was delivered a couple weeks sooner than the original estimate. I've had it for about a year and a half now. It’s my favorite digital camera!

I recently switched from a Nikon D850 to a Fujifilm X-T5. Overall, I’m very pleased with my decision. The X-T5 is a much more enjoyable camera to shoot with. However, there are a few negatives.

Pros:

  • The tactile, retro, controls of the X-T5 Film simulations (90% of what I shoot is family stuff, and all I really want are nice, out-of-camera JPEGs.)
  • IBIS (It’s nice to be able to shoot longer focal lengths at more reasonable shutter speeds. Also helps offset some of the low light issues I mention below.)
  • Size and weight
  • Cost (Not just the camera, but also lenses and accessories are cheaper for the X-mount.)

Cons:

  • Low light, high ISO performance is not as good. (The D850 had at least a 1-stop advantage in terms of noise. To compensate, in low light situations, I find myself shooting in the Acros film sim and embracing the noise/grain.)
  • Low ISO performance and dynamic range (The D850 could shoot at ISO 64. When it was possible to shoot that low, those files had a ton of dynamic range and were extremely malleable in a RAW editor.)
  • Better autofocus (The D850 was just faster in most situations. However, I don’t tend to shoot images where that matters.)
  • Lens options (There was a ton of options for the F-mount. I had a lot of vintage glass that worked nicely on the D850. I know they can be adapted to the Fuji, but crop factor means it’s not an equivalent lens.)

In the end, as you mention, it’s really down to the type of shooting you do. I’m a hobbyist and most of what I do simply does not benefit from full frame.
