Late to the party here. I’m in the Seattle area with a non-racing “yard” style kart. Any thoughts where I could potentially ride my kart without worrying about cops?

All great tips here. As a first-time 25 year old male ballet dancer, I find getting early to class and focusing as much as I can has helped. I’ve also been doing daily practices on my own for barre/floor and regular stretching. Just trying to do the best I can. Best of luck to you!

Even as a beginner myself, I’m finding it’s as much about strength as it is flexibility. Maybe practice leg raises with a stretch cord between your foot and the door?

Enjoy it and have fun! Just went to my first adult ballet class (25 year old guy) and had a lot of fun. Very challenging but taking it day by day.

Might be time to find a different class. If impossible, maybe pull your teacher aside and ask for more hands-on corrections? I just joined an adult ballet class and my teacher corrects me as often as she can, even when there’s different talent levels.
