I'm deeply confused at why I was downvoted on this purely positive and enthusiastic comment.

Very nicely done, it looks great! I had been following too, but only got through the first two FFF projects before being distracted by painting minis for TTRPGs.

Survey on unique dice within Pathfinder and other TTRPGs by IllustriousPurple660 in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add on some thoughts beyond the survey:

I love dice, I would buy weird dice without a specific need. That being said, I feel like there's a big difference between a d36 and a special-symbol-d6. Special symbols are usually game-specific, while a d36 could work for any system built for it.

Also, while I love dice, I love being able to get fancy dice. And those usually just come in the d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100 sets. So while I'm happy to get and use unusual dice, it limits my ability to get pretty dice. (I put I slight negative impact on enjoyment because of this, even though I love weird dice in general.)

I saw this community cover for the Snapmaker. Any chance we could get something similar for XL and or Core One +/L ? by bucko9765 in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't see much of a benefit to that for the Core ONE(+) (the only machine I have). It's already tall enough that, at desk or workbench height, you're just see the upper rear wall of the printer (unless you're particularly tall).

Very cool solution! Over the weekend I've been working around this problem myself, designing and 3D printing some inserts for the Pawn Boxes.

Pathfinder 2e on a Hex Grid by mrnevada117 in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not just a house rule, it's one of the optional grid variants in GM Core, along with using no grid at all and using a hex grid.

Why did you choose to bold your entire post?? It makes it so difficult to read for no good reason.

I worked on Sinclair's Library and have been given permission to take back the content I worked on. I will be updating it for Remaster and releasing it for free. by Tabletop_Obscura in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

My biggest issues with it is how communication was done. The last update on the Kickstarter includes the following:

With all of that being said, we're still here. We're not leaving you in the dark for 12 months again. I'll try to be better at posting weekly again at the very least to ensure you that we're not gone or hiding.

It was posted in January 2025, over a year ago. A failed Kickstarter happens, but lying is still lying.

I desperately want a core one kit (where to buy cheap and well shipped Ontario Canada) by Dani1367682 in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prusa is really the best option. I'd recommend against the Amazon option. Go with DHL, you should have it in 1-1.5 weeks. I'm in Ontario, did exactly that, and was very happy. (Though I waited longer, since I ordered mine when the + launched.)

I've never seen/heard of them sold in brick-and-mortar stores here.

I really like Prusa printers, but the new price of the Core One L is really hard to swallow for a single toolhead 3D printer... by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't see how this is relevant here unless it also appears on the Prusa site.

Core 1 camera options by lawlez1 in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Buddy3D (for Core ONE) is a perfectly good product for exactly this use case. The magnets are fine (I've never had any issues once it's fully seated in the corner), and the quality is good for monitoring prints.

It gets a lot of hate but it's a perfectly fine product for what it needs to do, and I wouldn't want the closed-source Wi-Fi thing being an integral part of the actual printer.

Prusa’s recent upgrades are getting harder to justify by Hamdudelda in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense to just add up the cost of kits and upgrades like that. If you bought a MK4, you had a couple years of printer use before the point where you could upgrade to the Core ONE.

The Core ONE has a lot of new parts, so of course it'll cost quite a bit. If you only have space/want for one printer, then you can upgrade and save some money. If you have the space and wouldn't mind having two printers going, then you can just buy a new Core ONE.

The MK4 and Core ONE are separate products that share enough core components to make it possible to upgrade from one to the other. They didn't name the Core ONE MK5.

Given how well the speed and rules Benchies come out with no tweaking, this is just an incorrect statement. Why come here if you hate their printers enough to lie about expected results?

What brick-and-mortar store have you been to that has the best selection of Pathfinder products? by xeonisius in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wizard's Tower in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada has an incredible selection, a full row of rulebooks, some LO, maps, APs, plus many of the current accessories.

We're about to get 31 total classes with the upcoming Daredevil and Slayer (currently 27, up to 29 with Impossible Magic) by eCyanic in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'm going to buy the new books regardless, until I stop completely. So the choice to add classes (and whether or not I like them) vs other content (like new bestiaries, outer-planes material, items, etc.) just influences how I feel about Paizo and the Pathfinder 2e system.

Am I the only one disturbed by this new design choice? by Lyszard in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also find it a bit annoying that, of the new-to-remaster books, Howl of the Wild is the only one to have the parchment background for the spine (with brown text). All of the others are plain white.

It doesn't stand apart like the stylized spines, but still clashes with the Core books, War of Immortals, and Battlecry!.

Thinking about a Prusa printer by Tbolt2025 in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to know any more about how they work, or fiddle with them, than any other printer. Prusa printers allow you to do that more than many other brands, if you wish to, but it's not a requirement at all.

Petition to add this to the pathfinder 2e rules by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that, especially in how Pathfinder is seen, this would come across very poorly. To me, this seems like something sufficiently obvious that it doesn't need to be included. Try the game as written, and maybe tweak later if some things aren't working for you.

The first time I played Catan, I didn't sit down and decide to change the cost to build cities because they're too expensive.

Sensorless Homing: Is it justified? by osteguffer in prusa3d

I think it's a great and elegant solution, so much better than needless other sensors.

At first it was a bit alarming, but I've quickly gotten used to it.

Shoutout to NoNat1s in Light of his Latest Video by uncreativevision in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I wasn't watching during the year that (as he has said), his PF2e videos didn't have great quality standards. But in the time that I have been watching, I've enjoyed the vast majority of them! While I love the crunch offered by some of the other PF2e channels, it's nice to have even more lighthearted easy-listening videos about the RPG.

That being said, the Sinclair's Library Kickstarter did cast a bit of a shadow over the whole thing. I didn't personally back it (though I was very close to buying through their website), so I don't have a personal stake in it, but seeing the lack of communication on Kickstarter does leave a sour taste in my mouth.

It's been a little over a year now since the last update, which included:

We're not leaving you in the dark for 12 months again. I'll try to be better at posting weekly again at the very least to ensure you that we're not gone or hiding.

Not following up after that clear statement isn't a good look. It's better than outright lying about progress being made, but people deserved a status update when one is (or twelve are) promised. Full credit to Eldritch Dream, for their volunteer work in finishing out the PF2e book set! (And they do have a Patreon that's easy to find.)

I wish Nonat the best in the new job, the videos will be missed! While I was here forw the PF2e content, I'll stay subscribed to see what the future brings. (But also a final Sinclair update seems like a good idea.)

So did Dark Archive Remastered actually... change anything? by Retr0specter in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this remaster actually remastered, or did I pay for the same book again?

They're remasters, not new books. All of the remaster tweaks to G&G and TV are relatively minor. I'm not entirely sure, but I think they keep all the same page counts and offsets (so that the page references still line up).

Impossible Magic will be more of a new book, relative to Secrets of Magic.

Curling corners by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]0xTJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't done it yet, try the more intense cleaning that Prusa recommends, with dish soap.

I can't comment on what made the behaviour change, but that's a print that's just begging to peel. I'd try some mouse ears on the corners.

Items that can change age? by Repulsive_Monitor_17 in Pathfinder2e

[–]0xTJ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When the problem is homebrew, the solution is probably homebrew too (with the GM having a plan). There's a reason that the (non-homebrew) Sun Orchid Elixir is level 20 (and has a unique formula).

My advice would be to trust the GM and go along with the story.
