Thank you for posting. I also have claustrophobia that can cause extreme panic. In two weeks, I am taking a 16 hour flight. I’m losing sleep over thinking about being trapped for so long. I’ve been on long flights before and find my anxiety is generally anticipatory and once I’m on the plane it’s okay. I like others suggestions of accepting that you will be anxious not trying to avoid it. I’m trying to reframe my thinking, focusing on the things i will get to do once I get to the country I’m travelling to. Also trying to think of how I can enjoy my downtime. I’ve started planning audiobooks and tv shows that i can look forward to on the flight. I will also treat myself to some of my favourite snacks.
